I've Seen Enough of Brandon Weeden

    Was listening to Ryan & Kirwan on the way home and they had a Bills fan call in regarding Fitzpatrick and their GM's (Buddy Nix) comment regarding "we'll be looking for a franchise QB this offseason." Kirwan, who is a former NFL coach/scout/personnel guy said "the problem is, are there any franchise QB's in this draft?" He also said he didn't think any of this years' QB crop would be ready to play from day 1 like Luck or RGIII. He also said the last few years were "rare with QB's that were ready to play" and that most usually need to sit & learn. Soooo...let's take a QB with our top 5 pick !!! :rolleyes:

    Don't think he's going anywhere, anytime soon. Now Alex Smith (who I wouldn't want) might be a different story.

    And let's be honest here, the Browns are a long ways away from being a contender in this league. I mean I look at a team like San Francisco and they are STACKED. Good defense. Good offense. It's going to take many many lucky late draft picks to get even on a 1/3 of their level.

    San Fran wins the super bowl this year. Book it.

    Hopefully the new regime won't be stuck on building strictly through the draft, and will actually pursue free agents.

    This where Heckert really screwed the pooch. He could've accelerated this teams ability to "battle" :rolleyes: by adding a few free agents in key areas. Not "break the bank" Mario Williams types but a solid linebacker, corner and a guard would've gone a long way this season. I would've added WR as a need but when guys like Garcon are breaking the bank, I'm skeptical they would've had a legit shot at one of the better WR's.

    But after hearing what I've heard, it sounds like Lerner wasn't looking to spend and was just looking for this front office to position this team for a sale (i.e. not adding free agents).

Its not neglecting the rest of the team, its using your best pick on the most important position. There are other picks for the other positions. Lol

    Im taking one this draft only considering they'll find a good QB in the top 5. But yes then again of this one flops. Beats the alternative of doing what we've always done and feeding the fan base bullshit to suck on.

    And the only two things ill be laughing my ass off at are weedens name on social security and your weird creepy obsession with cats. Lol

    In my defense, I said to wait til combine time to make the determination there are no good QBs in this draft.

    I just don't think having a stud pash rusher is ever going to bring us to a championship level without a stud QB.

    No one shakes their heads at the things I say except for the losers who think the ultimate loser-Weeden-will ever do anything in the NFL other than take us to a solid 8-8 season.     My plan is not "draft 3 QBs in the first round of the next 3 drafts" it's "Weeden isn't our future, so draft a QB in this draft with your top 5 pick. If he sucks, like a lot of you think he will, take one in '14." So enough with the misquotes and overexaggerations.

    I said if it takes 3, 10 years, then so be it. We need a fucking QB. We will not win anything (we are not the 49ers..we aren't even fucking close) with defense and a running game.

    Not to mention, Weeden isn't good. So, we're not even going to be "playoff" good. We'll literally be 6-10 - 8-8 over the next 5 years until Weeden can start taking from his IRA without being taxed.
