2012 NBA Offseason

Wonder if the Clippers made Odom promise he wouldn't be a bitch again this season before trying to trade for him.

If Spain had Rubio they would be tough to beat. A front court of Paul Gasol, Marc Gasol and Serge Ibaka would be really tough. Navarro, Fernandez, Calderon, Rubio, Rodriguez and they have a few other young guys who were former 1st round picks.

That team wouldnt make a conference finals let alone challenge the US Olympic team.

3 years, $34 mil for KG to remain a Celtic.

I could see the C's keeping Ray Allen and adding a free agent or two. If they're healthy they could be right there again next season

I'm pretty sure Ray Ray is half way to Miami already.

Rumored deal via Adrian W.(yahoo writer)...Joe Johnson to Brooklyn in an attempt to pair him with Deron Williams.

Jason Kidd and Williams are expected to be a packaged deal.
  • Midstate01
Joe Johnson and D will would be a nice little backcourt.
  • GOONx19
Rumors of Nash to the Canada Raptors if they make a strong offer.
  • Azubuike24
Rumors of the Hornets and Rockets making a move, including possibly Terrence Jones and Patrick Patterson to New Orleans. It would center around an Eric Gordon/Kevin Martin swap with 2 more pieces going to NO. Would have to be a sign and trade with Gordon involved, but wow, Kentucky fans loving "Blue Orleans" might take on a whole new definition.

Dwight Howard being a big bitch again. Claiming the magic blackmailed him. What a douche!!!!
  • Midstate01
Oh and he's demanding a trade to the nets.

Wonder if the nets would trade for joe Johnson to send him to Orlando?? No way they can trade for both. They don't have good enough players to send back in those trades.

The players association is also going to investigate the Magic LOL...

In other news, CP3 turned down the option from LAC that was 3 years 60 million, making him a UFA...

Nick Batum is a RFA, but garnering interest from the Cavs, Wolves, and a couple other teams.

Blazers offered Roy Hibbert a max deal
  • KR1245
Batum was offered 4 years $45-50 milion

    I'll pass

I'd do 5 years 40 but not 4 years 50. Leave it to minny to fuck shit up. He's only 23 and fills a huge need at sf

Took them 3 days to realize that Meyers Leonard might be a bust? If they get Hibbert, that is a big waste of a lottery pick, assuming Hibbert stays healthy. Aldridge is cemented at the 4.

Cavs interested in Sonny Weems too. Played last year in Lithuania for one of their top teams and averaged 15 points in 15 Euroleague games but suffered a season knee injury.

    Also, Anthony Parker has retired.

Wow! Case in point for why NBA teams are going broke. Good player, but not a max contract sort of guy

I'd give him maybe 10 mil a year.

Yeah fuck that. Can't believe there are people on RCF (wait, yes I can) that are arguing that we SHOULD give him that. He's not a max or near max type of player. He's a glorified role player. Very good shooter, good defender, and young... But signing him for the max is the move stupid teams do.

Nets reportedly signed Wallace for 40 million.

D12/Deron/Wallace... Solid trio obviously carried by the dynamic duo that would be Williams and Howard... They'd give the top teams in the East fits.

Would be funny if they turned around and traded him to the Hawks for Joe Johnson.

In other news, Dwight Howard is a putz
  • Rotinaj
Howard is quickly becoming my least favorite player in the league.
