Detroit Pistons game in the finals with Cleveland comes to mind. Everybody has "off" games. You are naive if you think otherwise

On PTI Kornheiser said he thought there would be a 100% chance that Gilbert congratulates Lebron. Here's what he said...

TK: I think that Dan Gilbert realizes that he looked as bad as Lebron during The Decision.. Maybe even worse
    Wilbon: Worse! Much worse!
TK: outside of Cleveland, the country thinks of him (Gilbert) as a putz.

TK went onto to say that Lebron has already hinted about coming back and that Gilbert will feel the need to be classy

Wilbon agreed that he would probably congratulate Lebron, but felt that it would be a phony "congratulations"

who cares what Gilbert thinks of Lebron now.

Funny, its Cleveland fans who are supposedly still "butthurt" about Lebron leaving, yet trolls like you are the ones who bring it up.

    This.

The only time I get into it with anyone regarding lebron leaving/gilberts comments/etc is when people like Jordo (mainly jordo) spew their passive aggressive bullshit. If you look at this thread, not all LeBron haters are Cleveland fans. Jordo's act is old, and the funny part is he thinks nobody sees through his bullshit.

Also got to love how Jordo all of a sudden starts posting in this thread when the Heat are on the brink of winning it all. LOL such a joke.

Wilbon and Kornheiser are trolling Cavs fans?

Gilbert will not say a damn thing if/when LeBron wins.

    Yep....agreed.

My life won't change one bit if he wins tonight....and he will I think.

Idiots throw it in our face, but athletes come and go....I root for the name on the front of the jersey.

Eh, I think he will congratulate him at some point....it is a business.

Yeah I don't see any congratulations forthcoming. If he does make a statement it will be something about how this only makes them more determined to win in Cleveland.

You'll still have to wake up and go to work?

We haven't seen it yet, but I'm hoping both teams leave the court tonight saying they played as well as they could have. This has been a great series, but we still have yet to see that trading baskets for 48m type of game.

I'd be surprised if he came out and acknowledged it at all. He didn't seem very business like with his reaction letter after "The Decision."

I guess it's a good thing the only NBA team and fanbase he needs to answer to is in Cleveland then.

Nope, I appreciate his passion, but his emotions came off as a scorned lover. I think that emotion is gone and he realizes how much money Lebron made him.

You're mostly right, but it isnt good for recruiting efforts

Lol....Hell of a basketball player, but borderline retard when it comes to handling adversity. I have always said that his biggest mistake was letting morons like Romeo and maverick handle his shit. they are stupid to begin with....and they got in over their head

He's definitely turned a corner this year. I've never seen an athlete get ridiculed so much and keep his mouth shut like he has. For the most part he's said all the right things.

OKC is desperate, so I'm hoping to see some type of change in game plan tonight to possibly make this interesting.

I don't buy that at all...in the end, it is all about money to these athletes. And in Cleveland...no matter the sport, you have to overpay to get them here anyhow.

I think he finally realized that he is in a "no win" situation with the media and fans from every city other than Miami. Only thing he can do is prove himself on the court. His people failed him miserably with the handling of the decision and all the dumb shit after that....devastating blow to his "brand"

I think it will fade in time. He should just keep his head down, stfu, and continue doing what he's doing. Athletes have endured MUCH worse situations and regained their positive image. Kobe and Vick for example.

Lebron was / is a moron and botched the Decision... But the amount of flak he has gotten from it is ridiculous. Like others have said, plenty of other guys have done much worse and it gets swept under the rug.

Miami will get it done tonight

Bron will play next season with the Heat and opt out at the end of next season

I agree with all of this. Dwade is on the downside and with the new cap....I think they only get worse. But unlike a lot of people...I don't think he ever comes back to Cleveland.

Regardless of a championship tonight, you can tell the big 3 aren't impressed, especially Wade. I don't think he likes Lebron stealing his thunder. I think Bosh is fine, a likes his role.
