Big, big (series) win. Having to face Verlander tomorrow with it being for a sweep is so nice.

BALLGAME! What a win and what a series so far.

    Tribe wins. Verlander next.

Gotta hope Masterson can get it rolling. I'd love to sweep and push these guys back 6 games. It may be early, but playing ahead by 6 games would be great.

    LOL.

Great to get the series win. If they beat Verlander, it will just be a bonus. I can't get greedy though, so I have to say I am happy with the series win.

Indians win. Tribe: 25-18 w/ 5-gm lead on Detroit. Last year on this date, 30-15 w/ 7-gm lead. My opinion: this season feels more legit.

Last season always felt like smoke and mirrors. This season seems like they are actually good, not really sure why. Mostly cause they have gone through a season in contention, and know what to expect.

That and I actually feel our line up is semi-legit now. Choo, Kipnis, Druby, and Santana all make the pitcher work and the latter 3 are budding stars. Choo has been raking since being inserted into leadoff.. conversely, Brantley has done almost as well since being moved down in the line up.

We have a solid defense, which is what has costed Detroit some game, I.E tonight...

Our bullpen, while not perfect, has stepped up when needed. We just need our rotation 1-5 to get consistent and this team could make some noise.

Hell, even Kotchman has started to warm up a bit.. Hitting around .270 this month I believe.

Last year felt like everything was going perfectly, and when that stopped they tailed off. This year, not everything is clicking just yet but they are still in first place. This year there is definite room for improvement in some areas.

Ill take credit for that. Started raking once I put him in my top 10 current hitters list.

I forgot how fat and slow Detroits infield is. Peralta up the middle and Cabrera and Fielder at the corners........not much range with those guys

Coincidentally, the Indians got on a roll ever since I went to the Troll face Wahoo

Saw a stat last night that Miggy's defense at 3rd has cost the Tigers around 4 runs.
  • hoops23
And the Tribe has finally broke even in run differential!

Also only team in the AL Central with a winning record at home... Hell, only team int he ALC with a winning record period.

    Most in the majors.

On the flip side, at least he produces on the other end of the spectrum. Dude rakes.

Yes. He's on my fantasy team and it's not because of defense or SB.

lol, same here. Had him for 4 straight years, since I traded A-Rod straight up in a keeper league 4 years ago when A-Rod got off to that incredible start, 2 months in or so. I think it was like 2008??
