Chris Perez rips Cleveland Fans
-
chicago510I agree with some of the things he said...not all of the things he said. But he is a dumbass for opening his mouth and saying it. I have a feeling he's going to get booed a lot more now.
I wonder if footwedge still wouldn't trade him for Mark Teixeira after these comments. -
wes_mantoothI just laugh anytime these pampered athletes whine about fans. Do your damn job and don't be butthurt when you get booed....that is the only reason he mouthed off. As for the attendance, people hate the front office and refuse to go...it sucks, but that is the way it is. I go to several games a year, but I hate the idea of giving money to those retards.
-
SportsAndLady15k a game is pretty pathetic...but it's 2012, we'd much rather stay in our AC'd home, watch the game in HD on a 60 inch plasma TV, and eat delicious snack food instead of going to the game.
-
wes_mantoothIt is very similar to how Bengal's fans feel about Mike Brown. I mean, they couldn't even get games on tv because people refused to go to games.

Exactly. Like I said on the other thread, more fans isn't going to make Larry Dolan less cheap with the team. If we jammed 50K in there every game, standing all over the damn place since that's 6K over capacity, his spending would not change one fucking iota.wes_mantooth;1176404 wrote:I just laugh anytime these pampered athletes whine about fans. Yeah, it sucks for Pure Rage because on most days half of the 12K that were originally there are left come the bottom the 9th, and the ones who just boo him unconditionally are fucking retarded, but when you say shit like this you sort of bringing it on yourself. Shut the fuck up.
When I go to the games, I just buy nosebleeds on Stubhub and get there early to stand at the bar or HR porch. -
vball10set^^^I thought this subject was on another thread--which one is it on?
-
vball10setPerez thinks the booing was bad before? good luck with that, Coño

Mooney44CardsHe's right, except blaming it on the fans is not only dumb, it's not even pointing the finger in the right direction.
It's lazy detective work for him to basically say, "Hey there's no fans.....must be that they're ungrateful idiots that don't realize what we players think when we're free agents!"
He should be storming into the GM's office and asking why, if they're winning, no one is showing up. Or he should just shut up and do his job. -
hoops23He's giving away 3 pairs of tickets to each remaining home game.

jordo212000As a Bengal fan it embarrasses me to see the stands empty when the product is good and I'm sure Indians fans feel the same way.
Say what you will about the Dolans methods, the Indians have been solid two years in a row. I have no idea what the fans are mad about up in Cleveland? The Lee / Victor Martinez trades? Everybody makes bad trades, time to quit pouting and realize your team is in 1st place -

wes_mantoothThe attendance is picking up as it warms up, but we don't have a player that is a ticket seller. And they won't go out and get one.

If seasons ended in Mid-June, this would be correctjordo212000;1176500 wrote:As a Bengal fan it embarrasses me to see the stands empty when the product is good and I'm sure Indians fans feel the same way.

I live 4 hours away but I usually hit about 2 games per season (Bengals games) and then usually 3-4 Reds games and then 1-2 Indians games
But since I am only an hour and a half away from Columbus I usually go to about 5 games a year up there -

Finishing in 2nd place and almost .500 is solid to me, but ok -
Con_AlmaCHris Perez's thoughts don't matter to me. He's an entertainer.
If I like what I see and want to go see it live, I will. If I don't, I certainly don't owe the franchise some type of mandatory attendance. It's more like the other way around. They have to attrat me to the ball park. -

this is spot on. The Dolans have done absolutely nothing to attract people. They don't make that big splash or even a minor one. And when they do try to do something..they go full retard like choosing Ubaldo over PenceCon_Alma;1176535 wrote:CHris Perez's thoughts don't matter to me. He's an entertainer.

they are in first right now. What else do you want? A lap dance in the right field bleachers too? -

They were 15 games out of first. The largest gap in the majors last year.jordo212000;1176538 wrote:2nd place in division. -

How close were they to making the playoffs? Were they close in the wild card? you are just being goofy now.jordo212000;1176538 wrote:2nd place in division. -
