Away We go!>>> Opening Day ..Tribe vs. Blue Jays.

OQBI'm very surprised by Jimenez today.....so far! I'm not holding my breath. Even though he has a you know what going right now, Acta will pull him and put Wild Thing in there.

he's seemed to have the good control at home in his time with the tribe. it's been away from the prog that has been the problemMulva;1139037 wrote:He isn't throwing 98 today either, but everyone knows he has good stuff. The issue is his control, and he's had it today. -

People were definitely bitching about his velocity.Mulva;1139037 wrote:The issue is his control, and he's had it today. -

Absolutely!! That is what frustrates me to know end, It's freaking ridiculous that you and I know that, but the real millionaires that own this team don't realize that. To make money you have to spend money....but spend money on the right players, not Hafner/Sizemore. -
lhslep134
That would generate 40,500,000 if the average of those 5000 tickets is $10. Obviously that's not net income, but that should more than cover a $10 mil contract on a hitter, right? I mean wtf.wes_mantooth;1139038 wrote:. If it puts 5000 more people in the stands each game, it pays for its self. -

The problem is that that would require the dolans to spend money up front. Even if they would make money in the end, they are too cheap to make that initial spending. Plus it makes to much sense. I mean who wants a winning team and a team that makes the owners money? Obviously not the Dolans.wes_mantooth;1139038 wrote:Maybe I am thinking of it too simply, but it seems to me that if you put a "big name" in this lineup, the attendance probably rises enough to offset the salary anyhow. exactly....smh! -
wes_mantooth
exactly. and how many of those fans buy at least one hot dog or a beer? I am talking about one player here for a team that is struggling with attendance, but has shown that they will come out if they are winning. fuck dolan...he is a retardlhslep134;1139044 wrote:That would generate 40,500,000 if the average of those 5000 tickets is $10. like_thatLMAO at us making hypothetical minuscule calculations to determine what type of players we could sign. Very sad.
-
Mulva5,000 x 10 x 81 is $4,050,000, not $40 mil. But Fausto and Grady alone would have been $12 mil that could have gone toward signing a slugger.
-
OQBjesus christ Santana.....you're a fucking catcher....catch the damn ball.
-
MulvaAlso, god dammit.
And this is why control is the concern with Ubaldo. -
wes_mantoothno hitter gone....win gone.
-
OQBlmao...first hit of the game for the jays and it's tied up.

grodtBalls. Still a good outing for Ubaldo.
-
wes_mantooth
yeah, I will take 2 runs in 7 innings from him everytime. Sadly, I think that with a line like that...we only have a small chance of winningdazedconfused;1139065 wrote:that should probably do it for ubaldo. solid outing -
