Away We go!>>> Opening Day ..Tribe vs. Blue Jays.

Is anyone else listening to it on the radio today? I keep hearing some sound effect spring going "boing" in the background, is that coming from the stadium? That would be annoying as fuck if you had to sit there and listen to that all game.

the indians need to slow down with the hitting prowess they are showing to start the season...other teams' pitching staffs have got to be trembling right now at the thought of facing this offensive juggernaut

Ubaldo has been lights out so far

Glad our offense showed up again today....

This is pretty much the offense that I expect for this year. The front office is a complete joke for not getting anything in the offseason.

We resigned Grady Strikemore!!! Nice fail!
  • OQB

  • wes_mantooth

I wonder what they could have signed if the Dolan's (normally very conservative with their money wtf) didn't sign Strikemore.

Also, is Failsto Suckmona (i don't know his real name) going to try and play this year?

Those signings really propped that window of opportunity open for a few years..... lol

the sizemore signing was so dumb. we'd have been better off lighting that 5 million on fire...at least we could have had a nice bonfire that way

I don't think Fraudsto has been readmitted into the country yet, has he?

Curious to see how Acta uses his bull pen if it stays close.

And Ubaldo is really good today.

We could've probably resigned Austin Kearns again!
  • wes_mantooth
yeah, I have no idea where things are with Roberto...

as for sizemore, it isn't even like there was fan pressure to bring him back....everyone except the dumbasses in our front office knew he was done.
  • OQB
What really pisses me off is that all we honestly needed was a BIG stick for this offense....and they couldn't even do that.

They would have sold a lot of $5 hot dogs to cook over it if they had a fire running off of 5 million $1 bills. You'd think Dolan's cheap ass would think of this stuff.

    Ubaldo hitless through 6.

I wasn't alarmed about his spring training performance because he said his arm felt great. There's not much reason to throw all out (like 97-98) in spring training.

you know damn well that Perez is going to be right back out there.....it is just our luck.

    Kipnis!

He isn't throwing 98 today either, but everyone knows he has good stuff. The issue is his control, and he's had it today.

Maybe I am thinking of it too simply, but it seems to me that if you put a "big name" in this lineup, the attendance probably rises enough to offset the salary anyhow. If it puts 5000 more people in the stands each game, it pays for its self.
