I agree there are 10 better right now, but I would not list Scola, Ibaka, or Marc Gasol as 3 of them. Definitely not Ibaka. Gasol is a toss up, but Cousins is the more gifted player/much higher ceiling.
  • thedynasty1998
Of course there are many more than 10 now. Did no one read my post? I said has the physical tools to be a top 10 based on potential. He's nowhere near that now. But of the guys stalker mentioned, he absolutely is more physically gifted than many of them.

There are always guys who don't realize their potential, and Cousins might be another.
  • GOONx19
I thought we were arguing potential. Cousins has the skills to be better than everyone on that list except Howard and Duncan.

    We were.

I'd throw in Dirk, Griffin, and maybe Amare too. I doubt you ever hear anyone talking about DeMarcus Cousins as an MVP candidate.
  • Azubuike24
Potential? Luis Scola and Marc Gasol with more? LOL. Al Horford? Andrew Bynum? Serge freaking Ibaka? Those guys might be better (I could argue against some of them), but if we're talking upside, no chance.

Marc Gasol is 26 and has worse career numbers than Cousins.

Agree with that, and there are others. But my point was he has a high ceiling, but his immaturity is holding him back. The same used to be said about Zach Randolph and he eventually grew up.

You have to keep in mind the poster. Don't take it too serious.
  • GOONx19
Yeah, I missed Dirk and didn't wanna put Griffin on an untouchable list yet. Maybe Amare for his offense, but Cousins could be a much better defensive player than Amare.

Guess I read it wrong. I thought it was a right now sort of thing. If it is potential, then obviously Cousins has more potential than a guy like Scola

Agreed, potential he is easily top ten, and is near the top 10 bigs right now imo.

I wasn't agreeing nor disagreeing, just asking for his opinion since he thought it was so outlandish. Ibaka belongs no where near that lists, he is so limited offensively. About 5 of those are questionable.

I disagree with those who say Bynum has LESS potential then Cousins. Bynum (if he puts it all together) could be the best center in the league...
  • chicago510
Bulls played like dogshit for 3 qtrs then had a huge comeback in the 4th tonight to beat Atlanta
  • wildcats20
Yeah I couldn't believe it when I saw the Bulls won.
  • SportsAndLady
Gotta love UK fans...guys, they went to your school for one year because they had to...stop pretending like every one is the best at their position.

Cousins will end up a bust, book it!
  • robj55
Durant goes 8-26 and the Thunder lose. I think this is one of the reason's OKC may run into some trouble, they only have 3 guys who really score in Durant, Westbrook and Harden. Still expect them to win the west.
  • wildcats20
And Bynum has his 3rd double-double in as many games and it's only half.

Say what you want about who he has them against, he has been a BEAST since coming back.

He always is when healthy, Lakers need to play through him and Pau.

You want to talk potential than I could also name about ten of those such as Oden who "if realized his potential" would pwn Cousins. This is really an idiotic discussion if we're arguing the potential top 10 of talents. Leave to idiot Crynasty to spin control when he gets pwned and facts shoved in his face.

Im with you on some of the UK guys who get defended. But Cousins was awesome at UK and was in contention for POY...with Wall on his team.

He easily has the talent to be a top 10 Big in the NBA. HE is a freak of nature. Not saying you have blind hate, I dunno. But I dont know how you cant see it, and I dont like UK...at all.

Sure he has potential to be a good big, but I doubt anyone thought he was a DPLOY or POY candidate when he came into the league.

Well if we're arguing potential (lolfail) he does since he could improve his jumper and then be a top 10 big in the league. Who else since you said 5 are questionable?

Griffin has more upside that Cousins. So you are contradictory here. If we are talking about now, than not labeling Griffin as untouchable makes sense. He is very good, but hasnt done it for more than a year.

But then if you are going to say we are talking about possible production than the "untouchable" label doesnt even matter. Its about potential and Griffin has more.
