Random NBA Chatter - Season long thread

He has the physical potential, but that doesn't mean shit it your mental potential is that of the local retard rec league.

He's Zach Randolph 2.0. Zach had an absurd amount of potential as well but never got his head right. His teams never did shit either.

Zach finally settled down within the last couple of years and he's done very well, as has Memphis.

As for Bynum, if he gets it together, he'll be the best center in the league.

I was talking about in college. He was every bit POY candidate by the end of the year.

As for his potential. Anyone can obviously improve with hard work. But Cousins has shown the flashes of greatness since he was in HS. His raw skill, athletic ability and body/size make his potential greater if the work ethic of player A and player B is the same. I doubt Cousins ever gets there, but if he does, he will be a perennial all-star imo.

Horford, M Gasol, Ibaka, Tim Duncan is on one leg and is basically retired, Blake Griffin plays one end of the floor(no D), same with Amare, Scola is a very good player but not elite. It's all opinionated anyhow so this argument is pointless.

Courtney Lee just went down with some sort of leg injury.

It really didn't even look like he landed weird.
  • wildcats20
Just a calf strain it appears for Lee.

Bynum just got his first 20/20 with 21 points and 22 boards.

Yeah, Bynum is sick. Seems like he's motivated to stay in LA.

After his performance in Dallas last year, I was the first to say GTFO.

And supposedly over the summer and what not, he pretty much had the same "I don't give a fuck" attitude. He was seen parking in wheel chair spots so he could get his shopping done quicker and just stupid shit.

But it seems like he has changed. I just hope he stays healthy. At least healthy long enough to get a trade for D Howard lol.

Agree with this. Cousins will never realize his potential with the way he is now. I used Randolph as a perfect example of someone who was a malcontent a large part of his career, but finally has matured.

The center position is so weak in the NBA, but Bynum does has potential. He's more skilled offensively than Howard, but I don't know if he is ever better than Howard. And I think that point was made with how desperately the Lakers wanted/want Howard. Bynum just needs to stay healthy.

I am sure he and failhook will be sucking eachother off.

The Cavs are playing much better than expected so far. Could easily be 5-0. I think they end up with only like 20 wins but will at least be fun to watch. Still hoping they get rid of Jamison and get TT more minutes.

I'd like to seem them play T2 with Anderson Varejao more. I haven't seen them together once this season that I've noticed.

They should be willing to part away with a lot to get him. He is a top 10 big. lolfail.

I just wanted to make sure everyone sees this...

Such a Shelden Williams move to make.

Also, I like the Speights trade for Memphis. I think Henry could be a pretty decent player, but they needed someone to replace Arthur.

Pacers are supposedly trying to acquire Steve Nash for Darren Collison.
