Yeah, would have been nice to get top 3, that promises MKG or BealDeadliestWarrior34;1185582 wrote:Meh fourth.
4 isnt that bad though, there is plenty of talent in this draft class -
SportsAndLadyI'm cool with 4
-
OneBuckeyeRobinson,Gilcrest and Davis are pretty much locks for the top 3. So do we take Beal or Barnes? I wouldn't want anyone but those 5 for the cavs of the top 10 players.

I don't agree. I think Beal probably goes top 3 over robinson, though I'd be happy if he doesn't and falls to us.OneBuckeye;1185699 wrote:Robinson,Gilcrest and Davis are pretty much locks for the top 3. -
OneBuckeyeDraftexpress has Robinson going 2 to the bobcats. His stock seems to be going way up.
-
OneBuckeyeI am also surprised to see that some mock drafts had MKG dropping to the cavs.
-
sleeperI really only want Davis, MKG or Beal. Mostly I want Beal, the guy is a gamer and he has moxy.

Commander of AwesomeSeriously if MKG and Beal are gone I want Lamb. I might want him over Beal actually.
It's just really hard for me to pass on a guy that is 6'5 with a freakish as hell wingspan, great shooter, unselfish, can get his own shot, defends very well and is incredibly explosive.

ohiobucks1I'm actually not completely against Drummond. I think he has the potential to be an All Star center in a few years and he likely will have a rough rookie year which will allow us to get back into the lottery again next year
-
sleeperNo thanks on Drummond. MKG or Beal would be absolutely perfect for what the Cavs need.

Im not big on beal and I agree MKG would be perfect but I doubt he falls to 4
I would take Drummond over Barnes and I think Lamb could be a good pick at 4 but may be a bit of a reach too -
se-alumI'm kind of torn. I really like MKG, but I'm not sure he gives you the offense you want out of a SF. Beal is a great shooter, but really didn't impress me other than that. I really like Lamb and Terrence Ross. In the end, i'd have to go MKG, Lamb, or Ross in that order.
-
lhslep134Drummond is a case where I don't want him because I'd rather have a wing, but if we take him I'm confident he'll do really well with Kyrie.
-
hoops23MKG is my #1 choice..
Beal would be 2nd.
I love MKG's size and athleticism more than anybody else in the draft. He's an inch short than Barnes who is a ridiculous 6'8 at the 3, but MKG is much more explosive and a much better slasher. Barnes has the better stroke, but I like MKG's attitude and the fact that he's a heard worker. I think he would definitely improve his shot and could be a lethal combo with Kyrie. I like that he's a willing defender too. -
Commander of AwesomeThe thing about MKG for me, is that he relies on his athletism for points, which I think will be negated in the NBA. I never really saw any offensive ability of layups and think he'll lose most of that advantage in the NBA. I think his ceiling is Gerald Wallce.
Beal is tough for me, I recall all the hype going into his freshman yr, but didn't really show much IMO and is undersized. for me its Lamb, Barnes or TRob after thinking it over and reading some more scouting reports.
They provide much needed offense right away. -
SportsAndLadyI actually want Harrison Barnes a lot. I think he's going to be a really good pro. I'm not really sold on MKG, because like COA said, he relies on being way more athletic and physically gifted than anyone else on the court; which will not be the case in the NBA.
If you're comparing it to OKC:
Kyrie is Westbrook
Thompson is Ibaka but with more offense and a little less defense
Barnes is Harden
Still missing our Durant though lol -

Agreed, I like Barnes, I think he would be a great fit.SportsAndLady;1186482 wrote:I actually want Harrison Barnes a lot. I think he's going to be a really good pro. Agree. I like him and I'd be fine if we end up with him, but I'd take Lamb, Barnes, or Beal first. We need someone who can get buckets, and he's a very raw offensive player.Commander of Awesome;1186472 wrote:The thing about MKG for me, is that he relies on his athletism for points, which I think will be negated in the NBA. hoops23Good points about MKG... I was very high on Barnes coming into the season. I fell off the bandwagon, but I'm slowly getting back on... His potential is definitely there...
Even he topped out as a Paul Pierce or Joe Johnson type of player (both excellent shooters who lack elite athleticism) he would be a GREAT pick next to Kyrie. -
Y-Town SteelhoundI'm just hoping someone ahead of the Cavs takes Drummond, Robinson, or both...
