Cleveland Browns @ Oakland Raiders: Week 6

You're correct. Bringing in Moore tips off the defense that it will be a pass. Moore can't block. That's why Alex Smith was seeing a lot of time.Commander of Awesome;929037 wrote:I always thought the issue with Moore was that he can't block. Thus he's pretty much only in obv passing downs/redzone. So unless he learns how to block/or Glasshos shores up the RT spot, I'm not sure I see this realistically happening.
Seems this regime has hard on's for TE's that can catch (Watson, Moore, Cameron) but can't block. -

Don't need a TE to block when you throw 60 little dump off passes per game. -
BR1986FBTrue, but I get the impression they'd like some balance. I'll believe it when I see it.

dazedconfusedi'd rather take my chances with moore blocking than smith catching passes and running routes. it's not like we're some sort of juggernaut with smith in there

That really isn't an issue against the Raiders. Their receivers are as bad as the Browns.Writerbuckeye;928851 wrote:And Haden? Well, let's just say we've got nobody even close to his level who can stop a top receiver.
D-Mac should go nuts though. I don't see a win here unless Oakland turns the ball over a few times. -

Kellen Winslow part II. Not sure if this was reported on another thread or not. Marcus Bernard likely done for the season after breaking his hand in a motorcycle accident. (article says arm but it is hand) -

Yeah, I figure they'll have to IR him. It will take too long to heal, and they'll need another body for the DL long before he's ready. I'm guessing Heckert is hitting the phones now, looking for some help.iclfan2;929409 wrote:http://www.boston.com/sports/football/articles/2011/10/10/browns_haden_mack_not_practicing/

Lets go over the checklist:Mulva;929442 wrote:Seriously? DHB and Denarius Moore?
Can they separate from defenders? Check.
Already 10x better -

I honestly think Greg little is legit. He gets separation, but colt missed him a lot against the titans. -
shook_17suck for luck. after watching aarron rodgers last night, we need a guy like him. that guys is andrew luck. darren mcfadden runs wild against our defense.
-
Commander of AwesomeYou sound like a chicken little. Sorry Andrew Luck is a great prospect but he's not the only QB in this class. I actually like Matt Barkley quite a bit. This whole suck for luck thing is getting fucking ridiculous and out of hand.
-
shook_17well thats your opinion. i personally think andrew luck is hands down the best qb prospect coming out. colt mccoy is not our guy plain and simple.

Well Luck wont come in and be Arron Rodgers right away if ever. So you're already setting yourself up for disappointment. Luck may be the best QB prospect but so was Couch, Jarmarcus Russel, David Carr, Alex Smith, etc.... Seriously the list goes on and on. Torpedoing a season for a QB that ESPN has entitled the greatest thing doesn't sit well with me. Thats the same organization that brought up the debate between Rose or Beasley. You're not sold on a guy that has played less than a full season under 2 different Off coordinators. I understand he hasn't looked great yet, though I don't think anyone in St Louis is ready to pull the plug on Bradford yet and he was also labeled as a can't miss prospect and in the midst of having a worse statistical season than McCoy. McCoy has to play better plain and simple, but taking a season for an unknown is a joke and I'm glad you're not the Browns GM.shook_17;929595 wrote:well thats your opinion. i personally think andrew luck is hands down the best qb prospect coming out. colt mccoy is not our guy plain and simple. -
WriterbuckeyeI'm sorry, but I can't imagine any real fan of a team hoping for a season of losses, regardless of the reason.
I'm a Browns fan first and foremost -- I want to win. I want to win NOW. I don't care if it takes another few years to get all the pieces for this team in place; I'm not willing to sacrifice even one win in the process. And I sure as hell can't imagine hoping for a whole season of losses on the HOPE (because that's all it is) some guy might be a great player. -
SportsAndLadyI can't stand the "lose so we can get a better draft pick"
It doesn't matter WHERE you pick..just draft well all 7 rounds, and your team will be good eventually. -
