Haha smh...sos honest question: how many tebow pictures /posters do you have up in your room?
  • Speedofsand
Oh sure its ok to rip him with Hoge's opinion of practice, but now games don't count. How did I know that post would infuriate the trolls ?
Haters gonna hate. Denver's first drive they ran ran ran down inside the 10 then Orton goes 0-3, they kick a FG.

Yeah, they scored though. and it's a PRESEASON game with tebow playing against the 2nd/3rd string defenses. Shut up.

Its the preseason and I wasn't ripping him if you were directing that towards me. I was just sharing the other link which basically says the same thing as Hoge.

You're incredibly delirious. And I'm not a hater, I'm just not delusional.

Nothing there is delusional. It is facts. First half stats in a game. pre season, but first drive Orton was good handing off and a short pass ran for 29 more yds. Tebow has better stats. Made passes. Started three drives 14, 10 14 yd line and moved it twice. Got blitzed plenty, well called by Ryan.

Brady Quinn, 8/14 for 120 and a TD. GOAT.

But his point was that you want to tear Tebow down because Hoge watched 1 practice, yet you won't give him any credit in a preseason game. Does seem kind of contradicting.

First, Hoge watched a lot of game tape in that analysis, not just one practice. Secondly, preseason doesn't mean anything because guys are rotating, starters hardly play, hell they've only had a few weeks of practice so far. Everyone knows it doesn't matter. I think Tebow can and will be an NFL starter, but to use the first half of the first preseason game is just ridiculous.

I know preseason doesn't mean jack. You don't have to tell me. Hell I don't even like to watch preseason games. But I still think if a kid shines in preseason games (granted, this was only 1), you can't totally disregard that.

How can you say Hoge watched alot of game tape? Tebow played 3 games. He wasn't that bad in those games. Oh, but don't compare them to Orton's first 3 games. That means nothing. A pre season game doesn't matter, now the success is blamed on 2nd string defense. It should matter as much as a PRACTICE. Exactly what I said before the game, he is in a no win situation.

I didn't tear down Tebow, and I didn't agree with Hoge. Therefore I can rightly say SOS is delusional for taking any stock in a PRESEASON GAME.

You're delusional for taking that much stock in a preseason game. That's all, nothing more nothing less.

I fully agree with that. One of my new roommates is from Denver and while he loves Ortons ability to move the ball between the 20's, he absolutely can't put the ball in the end zone (case in point last night against the Cowboy's 1st team D, which merely showed exactly what happened all of last year), and for that reason he's open to seeing what Tebow can do.

Some of Orton's games from last year:

    Week 1 295 yds, 1 td in a 7 pt loss
    Week 2 307 2 tds in a win
    Week 3 476 yds only 1 td in a 13 pt loss
    Week 4 341 yds 2 tds
    Week 5 314 yds 2 tds
    Week 7 370 yds 1 td 8 pt loss

I mean he's lights out everywhere but the red zone, but in the NFL you need to be able to put the ball over the goal line.
