Merrill Hoge blasts Tim Tebow on Twitter
-
SpeedofsandBut shouldn't the Vikings win because Von Miller had thumb surgery this week and might not play? Its all about Denver's defense isn't it? Minn has a good run defense to stop Tebow. Minn is 29th vs the pass, so if Tebow throws for 300 yds, it'll be blamed on that.
 -

The cover of the inaugural edition of the league's official monthly publication, NFL Magazine, which hits newsstands Dec. 13, will feature Tebow instead of Carolina rookie quarterback Cam Newton as originally planned.
"Playbook Special Edition: Tim Tebow" hosted by Joe Theismann airs at 10:30 p.m. ET Saturday. This is the first time a "Playbook" show focused on one player will air in a nontraditional time slot on the league's network.
It's cuz he's black -
Laley23I think this is a good test for Tebow. Minny is solid versus the rush, and they have a tremendous pass rush (Jared Allen, mostly). But without AP, Ponder is going to have to play better and I dont see it. I fully expect another GW Drive to win 16-14 (3 FGs and a TD).

SpeedofsandI met AP at Tebow's golf charity event at Sawgrass this year. Totally cool dude. Built like Mr Universe. Toby Gerhart knocked the rust off last week, watch out for him.

RotinajWatched a little bit of whatever shit show Hoge is on Sunday mornings today and he was yelling something about Stafford not showing this year that he could be a good QB. Said he has the "tools" but hasnt shown it yet. I cant even watch this guy for more than 5 minutes because of how big of a dumbass he is. He recieves the Mark May treatment from me now.(Change station whenever he speaks)

Speedofsandinteresting comparison from before last year's draft
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/writers/kerry_byrne/03/22/tim.tebow/index.html
• Player A is Peyton Manning. He played for Tennessee in the SEC and was the No. 1 overall pick in the 1998 draft.
• Player B is Tim Couch. He played for Kentucky in the SEC and was the No. 1 overall pick in the 1999 draft.
• Player C is Eli Manning. He played for Ole Miss in the SEC and was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2004 draft.
• Player D is JaMarcus Russell. He played for LSU in the SEC and was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2007 draft.
• Player E is Matt Stafford. He played for Georgia in the SEC and was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2009 draft.
• And, finally, Player F is Tim Tebow.
Tebow was, by any measure, a better player, a better quarterback and, yes, a better passer than any of these No. 1 picks.
We understand that college success does not translate to NFL success. The long history of Heisman winners turned NFL busts underscores that argument.
However, in the gamble that is the NFL draft, we'll roll the dice on the proven and unmatched passing talent of Tebow rather than on the sorry track record of pro football talent evaluators.

sleeperAwesome. Using meaningless college stats to compare players. Tebow is not a QB. He's a fullback who's passing the ball and he'll never win anything relevant.
-
jordo212000Hoge is killing Tebow again this morning. I'm no Tebow fan, but the amount of hate he has for him is borderline comical
-
Mulva-2 points so far for the Tebowffense.

Derek Anderson was also a 5-1 starter too. There are countless QBs who were 5-1 starters that are now flippin' burgers or selling cars. Expect Tebow to be another.shook_17;1000547 wrote:5-1 as a starter this year. stfu -

Fly4FunAt first I ripped Tebow.
Then he just won.
Next I thought it was a fluke.
He just kept winning.
Then I gave him credit for being a great leader.
Then he got better as a quarterback.
If he continues to progress as a quarterback... man is that scary. While I'm not on the Tebow bandwagon. It's hard to deny that he is a part of the team and has had a tremendous impact on them in a positive way. Yes, the defense has improved. But Tebow is now improving too.
I never WANTED Tebow to fail, as that's not something that I want for anything. But I just didn't think he could make it. He's proving his doubters wrong each and every week.
