robj55Football is a team game, the kid has inspired the team but he hasn't won anything by himself. They are averaging the same amount of yards and points as when Orton was starting. The real credit should go to the offensive line and the defense which has been outstanding. They are rushing for 200 yards a game in the last 6, the offensive line has been great outside of that Detroit game. People are acting like this kid is winning by himself, he is doing nothing special, outside of not turning the ball over. It's sickening the amount of attention a less than mediocre QB is getting for his teams success.

Agreed basically the difference in the qb play is Tebow isn't turning it over while orton did -
robj55
And the only reason for that is because they have the chains on Tebow, throwing 10 times a game. Steve Young said it best today, they are hurting his development more than anything. They are giving him no rope and have no trust in him.Crimson streak;995319 wrote:Agreed basically the difference in the qb play is Tebow isn't turning it over while orton did -

That's also why they're "controlling the clock". They go 3 and out pretty often, but when all 3 of those plays are runs the clock doesn't stop and you eat about 2:30 off right there. 1 first down and they're taking 5 minutes off the clock.robj55;995321 wrote:And the only reason for that is because they have the chains on Tebow, throwing 10 times a game.
The fact that the defense isn't on the field for as much right now is almost definitely part of why they're putting up better defensive numbers, and Tebow is doing a good job not turning the ball over, but eventually you need the offense to do something other than kill a few minutes and punt on 90% of possessions. -

What do the Browns have to do with our opinion on tebow? First of all, you have no idea how Tebow would do with the Browns, second of all Tebow's success is very similar to Derek Anderson's. Both had a hot stretch, then defenses finally figured out their one dimensional style of play, and it all went down hill from there. So yes, I rather go the direction that Heckert is taking the team, then have false hopes, because defenses have not figured out Tebow yet. Stick with you obsession with Kobe (even though you are from Cleveland, huge fail), you really come off as a complete dipshit when you talk about football.Skyhook79;995132 wrote:like_that and DeyDurkie5 would much rather have Colt McCoy and the success of the Browns over the last 12 years plus this year than have a QB like Tebow. That way they can talk about the Browns draft position and who to take with their top 3 pick by week 5 of the season.
Your obsession with trolling Cleveland is almost as bad as SoS's obsession with Tebow. -

Got to love how the idiot just spews bullshit, and then has nothing to back it up. When he is asked a legit question, he can't even answer it, and he defaults to trying to take a fail cheap shot at cleveland and it's fans. Pretty much a sign of an idiot not knowing what he is talking about. Capone might have more substance in his posts than failhook.Commander of Awesome;995345 wrote:Typical dipshit. Who said he is doing it by himself? How many of that 200 yds rushing a game does Tebow have? He is doing nothing special? I know you watched that 95 yd TD drive against the Jets, That wasn't special. What about the 80 yd drive against the Chargers to send it to OT? What about the 2 TD comeback against a pretty good Dolphins defense? He has been special in every 4th quarter he has started in, you know winning time that time of the game when say Lebron shrinked in the Finals The problem with Tebow haters is they don't want to give him any credit for helping turn this team into a playoff contender.robj55;995317 wrote:Football is a team game, the kid has inspired the team but he hasn't won anything by himself. I like how you have put me in the category as a tebow "hater." I already stated I like tebow, I just don't think his game will translate to success in the future. That makes me a hater? That is a cop out argument on your part.Skyhook79;995400 wrote:Who said he is doing it by himself? How many of that 200 yds rushing a game does Tebow have? He is doing nothing special? Everyone is implying that with the 5-1 statements. He has been awful for about 90% of every game, that is not impressive. The drive against the chargers he had one run and then handed the ball off the rest of the time. Then made a throw that I could make when the defense made a mistake. He is being protected because he can't play the position. The defense has been outstanding as well as the Oline. All he is doing is managing the game and not turning it over.Skyhook79;995400 wrote:Who said he is doing it by himself? How many of that 200 yds rushing a game does Tebow have? robj55Fact is the defense is keeping his team in the game to even have an opportunity to make plays in the 4th, but that gets no mention. Like I said the numbers between the offense ran by Orton and him are the same, so he has not made the offense better, rather their philosophy has changed.

Were talking about Tim Tebow the football player not the person. You hate his game so you are a hater.
Hope that helps. -

Was Orton a threat to run? Is it harder for defense's to defend a QB who can run? The offense is more efficient and better under Tebow.robj55;995456 wrote:Fact is the defense is keeping his team in the game to even have an opportunity to make plays in the 4th, but that gets no mention. september63Tim Tebow is winning games. The veterans on his team are publicly supporting him. Is it more important to win or have good fantasy football numbers? BTW, I dispised him in college, but give the kid a break now. He is winning games. I'd love for the Browns to just win games ugly!!

hasbeenDenver is winning games. Tebow's ability to run and occasionally complete passes is helping. but the team is winning

It's not more efficient at all though, they have so many 3 and outs it is ridiculous. 75 percent of the game they go three and out and punt, that is not efficient.Skyhook79;995655 wrote:Was Orton a threat to run? Dude is a stud for fantasy!!! lol. Rushing numbers and rushing TDs are pretty big for a QB.september63;995720 wrote:Tim Tebow is winning games. The veterans on his team are publicly supporting him. Link to the stat that they go 3 and out 75% of the time.robj55;995758 wrote:It's not more efficient at all though, they have so many 3 and outs it is ridiculous. 75 percent of the game they go three and out and punt, that is not efficient. -

I've seen every game, it's not accurate but it is about that. They go three and out more often than not. Also completing 45 % of your passes is not efficient, Tebow is the opposite of efficient, but he has been effective in spurts.Skyhook79;995832 wrote:Link to the stat that they go 3 and out 75% of the time. -

It's obviously more important to win, but the entire point is they won't continue to win unless they put up better offensive numbers. Denver isn't going to give up 15 points a game for the next 10 years. It just isn't going to happen. The offense has shown no progress at all.september63;995720 wrote:Tim Tebow is winning games. Consider the reverse scenario - Cam Newton. He has put up numbers, but the Panthers suck. Nobody is calling for him to get benched, because even though they're losing he obviously isn't the problem.
The Broncos are winning, but (outside of 1 magical drive per game) Tebow isn't performing. At all. And even if he does have jeebus on his side at the end of games, it won't matter if the Broncos are down 10 points instead of 3. And at some point they will be.
Again, Kyle Orton posted 8 straight wins his rookie year. The W/L number for a small part of 1 season means absolutely nothing. Nobody that I know of is calling for him to get benched right now, they're saying he isn't good at this point and if he doesn't improve he will be benched in the future. -

said_aouitaTebow is the short term QB at best. We may be able to win some regular season games on occasion but I'm like most of the "experts" who believe he's not leading your team to the Super Bowl.
The VP of football at Denver just has to look in a mirror to see what kind of QB he wants. -
SpeedofsandThe "experts" on this board and most of the media said Tebow would not ever play QB in the NFL. The "experts/trolls" said Tebow sucks, he was the 4th best QB in Denver, etc.
Now you all are saying "He can't win a Super Bowl like that."
I always said he can play. I always said he was better than Orton. I win.
