Fukudome

hoops23Exactly^
We gave up nothing. Fukudome is a nice pick up because he GETS ON BASE and he can play the OF with the best of them. -

It all evens out. Carerra's 1st MLB at bat, he bunts home the game winning run against the Reds.Al Bundy;845315 wrote:Valbuena was in left, and he misplayed two balls in the 9th that cost the tribe the game. If we have Fukudome that night, we win. -

Crimson streakI think this trade is very underrated. Putting a guy that gets on base ahead of drubs and hafner is a very smart thing. The more RBI chances those 2 get the more success this offense will have. On the other hand we still need that right handed power stick. Hopefully we cut kearns for fukudomes roster spot but I doubt it

How could you pick Kearns over Buck? -
iclfan2Glory Days;845452 wrote:How could you pick Kearns over Buck?
I had an argument with someone yesterday on why the hell Kearns would be kept over Buck. Their answer was that it was about more than the team, and that Kearns has planted himself with the right people at the Cleveland Clinic and some other relationships he has around the city. I think is answer is ridiculous, but why the hell else would he still be here. -

Kearns is a right handed bat. -

This is the biggest reason. -

I meant Valbuena. The 2B in fucking LF. -

Again, meant Valbuena. Not Carerra. -
WooballThe Phillies and Astros are looking for a 3rd team to get involved to make the Hunter Pence to Philly trade go through. Does either team have anyone that the Tribe might be interested in? Wandy Rodriguez?

That would be amazing or even bourn. I would take either one of those guys -
Laley23Indians join Pence talks. Phils still favorite, but Houston doesnt like Dom Brown. We could be real players here!!! Red Sox and Reds also involved.

Yeah, that was not comforting. Oh well. We suck again. 2012 here we come. -

I like Choo a lot...and a team can win games with Mike Brantley. There's always a chance that Sizemore could bounce back the way Pronk did...but I really doubt it. The real problem as I see it....we do not have a major league first baeeman or third baseman. They are all junk. Maybe Phelps or Kipnis can develop. I would bring them up, play them, and find out. I do know that LaPorta, with his swing, should be sent packing. Santana might be a good first baseman...at least he takes a healthy swing at the ball....has power...and gets on base a lot.baseball4;845195 wrote:That's why I said when Sizemore and Choo come back. I know he's always hurt. Hell, I'd be fine if we traded him once he was healthy. He is damn good, he's just been so injury prone that he's not worth keeping. I'd be fine with leaving Brantley in center. He is young, does as good of a job as Sizemore used to, and he's showing signs of improvement. Just off of the top of my head I can't think of a trio that is BETTER. I wouldn't compare them to the Yankees, of course. But when it comes down to it I can't come up with three.
The bottom line is that baseball is fugged up....until they fix the cap discrepancy, there is no solid reason to really give 2 schits as to what the tribe management does. -

Antonetti can't fake it as well as Shapiro did. Shapiro would hide the fact that Dolan handed him a case of Budweiser and said "this is the trade bait that you must use to make us a contender". Antonetti is like "we're fucked". -

A case of budweiser? damn, things are looking up. have you seen what actual players we have to offer!?!? A case of budweiser and some hot pockets might get us a #5 starter. -
ts1227Don't know if there's any truth to this (since it's just a post from WFNY), but STO may STILL be losing money for Dolan, which will obviously make him really eager to spend it

HAHA! The difference is I am loling at anyone defending him, and you brought up something that we all have been saying 40 games into the season. Make sense?
