Brain cramp by Dusty with a suicide squeeze with a 3-2 count, putting Cairo in a position he couldn't lay off ball 4 because Lewis would be out at home, and reducing Cairo to fouling out to salvage keeping the runner on 3B. Bad logic by Dusty! Cairo did all he could, but Dusty failed! -
se-alumWhat is the Braves bullpen like?? Jurrjens w/ 45 pitches thru 2 innings.

Fredi is just as bad. -
daveI still can't believe that happened. A fast runner and 3rd, arguably your best hitter up there in that situation, infield playing back. WTF.
Pretty sure Dusty thought there was 1 strike. Even so that's a terrible call. -

Back end is more than solid with O'Flaherty, Venters, and Kimbrel. Sherril and Linebrink are good more often than not. Proctor is like pouring gas on a fire. -
daveLotz, when is chipper coming back?
-
karen lotzBraves also recalled Christhian Martinez today for long relief. Might see him here shortly.

Will take BP with team on Monday in Atlanta then they will determine if he needs a couple rehab games or not. He's been hitting and running for a week already. -

davenever saw this coming

justincredibleSo glad we signed Bronson to an extension.

swamisezI do like that the Reds are running more in the last few days. Also, they have been a little more patient. They ran pitch counts up in the final game at pittsburgh and tonight.
Side note, runner on second left handed hitter, roll a weak ground ball to 2nd. -
swamisezYou know that machine Monica Abbott advertised on FSN all last year? Could that be Drew Stubbs new nickname? K-Factor
-
davethese outfielders a so bad, doesn't really matter who's in there. basically all they do is hit an occasional long ball or grounder that finds a hole.
-
se-alumStubbs just gives this team sooooo much!! He's fast!!

Defensively they are great, offensively they are giant turds. -

Most people that say this are high on Heisey. Stubbs is better in all aspects of the game. -
swamisezStubbs may be better in all aspects of the game. However, given the horrific performance displayed by Stubbs since April, Heisey should be getting the bulk of the at bats. Drew Stubbs simply cannot find a way to put the ball in play enough. When given the two I have to say Heisey brings more offensively at this point. I hope Drew Stubbs will get out of the funk he is in, but he isn't helping the team with his play at this point.
