Also, Dempsey hit another today against Chelsea in the 82nd to draw 1-1.

Chelsea's chance to finish in the top 4 is looking bleak.

Not really. With tottenham losing today, it helped them greatly. Here's the table as of today..

    4 Tottenham Hotspur 33 17 8 8 57 38 11 3 3 35 17 6 5 5 22 21 19 59
    5 Newcastle United 33 17 8 8 50 42 10 5 2 26 15 7 3 6 24 27 8 59

Clint is a fucking boss. Is he the best American ever?

    For me, yes.

Oh and I had tickets for that game. We were going to England for my best friends bachelor party, but he got accepted into the police academy and couldn't go. Had to sell tickets. So pissed.

I know. But our refund for the trip is all going to Vegas. It's gonna be epic. So not toooo upset. But this game being so awesome with Clint scoring stings a little

I mean vegas is great, but being at an EPL game like that would be awesome. Not to mention the bars and atmosphere after it with Clint scoring.

Oh I agree. But we had already paid for Europe and got 90% refund. Put it all to Vegas. Not the same, but it's essentially an expensive trip there, and we had already "parted" with the money. So it's become fun to go all out in Vegas when we usually wouldn't be close to affording the shit we are going to do!

Yeah, there isn't a better way to spend your refund on that. Put 500 on green, you will hit it.

GOAT American so far has gotta be Dempsey.

I would have said McBride, maybe Donovan, but Deuce's form this season put him over the top. I hope he goes to a bigger club, IN ENGLAND. He deserves it and the fat check that should come with it.

I have a college buddy in England right now. Said Clint is all over the place. His friends in Liverpool want him and the news/papers are writing about him all the time. One said he was the best player in London this season!

I think he will be sold, but like you, hope it's still in England!

I haven't really heard any rumors about teams interested besides AC Milan that popped up months ago. It's awesome that he's came along so well at Fulham. I was the first game he came on for them at Putney Bridge, I believe as a sub. Three Americans playing on the same field....McBride and Onweyu was making his debut for Newcastle.

Schalke, Arsenal, Roma among potential suitors for Dempsey: http://www.goal.com/en-us/news/1614/americans-abroad/2012/04/11/3027291/schalke-arsenal-and-malaga-among-the-possible-destinations

Please please please please go to the Gunners. I would lose it and buy a shirt IMMEDIATELY.

Love the success Dempsey is enjoying and all the love he's getting over there.

Huge games today. forgot to post on here. Man U losing to fucking Wigan. Man City getting the 4-0 win against WBA. I honestly see Man City making the push IF they keep Baolotelli out of the lineup.

I hope to GOD Dempsey doesnt go to Italy. That game doesnt suit him at all. But Arsenal and Shalke wouldnt be bad. Arsenal, preferrebly, so he stays on ESPN all the time with the EPL coverage.
  • Automatik
I'd be ecstatic if he went to Arsenal, but I just don't see it happening. I do believe he could succeed in their system though.
  • DeyDurkie5
Hopefully he stays in the EPL.

To be honest, as a fan, I hate how they don't have a salary cap. Obviously they put a lot of emphasis on their youth teams. But when it comes to something like this, I would love for him to stay at Fulham, and have them build around Dempsey. Just my personal opinion though.

I think Schalke would be a really good fit if they can keep The Hunter.

Even with a salary cap, it's hard to keep players AND build around them.

It takes a lot of the parity out of it. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Unfortunately.

Some may crack on the MLS's structure, but it's nice. The Bundesliga is nice as well. Teams have a chance to compete. It sucks having Premier League games getting under 10,000 fans at games between teams that are essentially done playing by December. The MLS has those numbers...only because we are still growing, marketing sucks, and the League just hasn't come around yet.

I get what you are saying, but at the same time it's just not working for the EPL. From what I've read(and grant it I could be wrong. Not to mention I have only read a little of it) most of the teams are in debt when it comes to their attendance/payroll. Averaging that out, will balance out the team's payroll. I mean think about Wigan being at the top of the table? Unreal thought.
  • Laley23
Its not just the EPL. I personally think it is all inflation. Teams like Barcelona are in dept (hence the whole standoff over Cesc for 2 years) so they cant sign anyone really and are constantly selling players. Teams like Madrid and Inter who overpent for players inlated the market and not a lot of teams are in dept.
