Not to mention I have only read a little of it) most of the teams are in debt when it comes to their attendance/payroll. Averaging that out, will balance out the team's payroll. I mean think about Wigan being at the top of the table? Unreal thought.

Teams like Barcelona are in dept (hence the whole standoff over Cesc for 2 years) so they cant sign anyone really and are constantly selling players. Teams like Madrid and Inter who overpent for players inlated the market and not a lot of teams are in dept.
    Yep and yep.

I do not see the Premier League (or any other international league) that has NO cap...changing anytime soon. The Premier League tried to make some changes, like having the "homegrown" player rule. We will be seeing more Rangers' situations. The Premier League had it with Portsmouth (it was them right?). My beloved Red Devils are FOREVER in the hole. It's stupid.

I wish it'd change as well. Unfortunately, there will probably be some major collapse in order for anything to change.

Also...might as well mention this Twitter account.

    Yeah man! Saw the same.

Problem is...the study was relatively small. That's the biggest hole.

Can't say we all didn't know this already though... :D

    Bummer!

Raul turned down the Seattle Sounders for a move to Qatar. That sucks. No surprise, follow the money.

Some Spanish La Liga is on ESPN today at 4. They ate showing the Barcelona vs Levante match live. The EPL has been great for ESPN, hopefully they show more La Liga as I think it could be just as beneficial for them!

man city put it in norwich's ass this morning.
  • Mulva
I don't think there's any question Man City wins the league this year if Tevez wasn't a little bitch.

Also, Giuseppe Rossi re-tore his ACL and he'll miss the Euros this summer. Not that Italy was going to win anything anyway.

Sad in Italy...Serie B player collapsed and died in the 31st minute
"He looked at me in the eyes when he was taken into the ambulance," Pescara's general manager, Danilo Iannascoli, told Sky Italia. "We are living through a drama."

Italian media reports said a car belonging to traffic police blocked the ambulance's way into the stadium and a window had to be broken so the car could be moved.

"I don't know if the ambulance was late, but I know that the entrance onto the pitch was blocked by a vehicle," Iannascoli said. "Morosini collapsed, he tried to get back up but then collapsed again."

Levante up at the half on Barcelona, 1-0. This is via a PK after a Busquets handball.

    Messi BITCH!
  • Laley23
    Messi. 1-1.
  • Laley23
I smell 2-1 after this free kick.
  • Laley23
    Or not.
  • Laley23
lol. I guess things are even, if Messi converts the PK.
  • hoops23
That was a given. 2-1 Barca
  • Laley23
haha. Love that replay. One of the best placed PKs you will ever see.
  • hoops23
It's always hilarious to see the GK guess completely wrong and go flying to the other side of the net lol.
  • hoops23
Nice buildup there... Probably could have made it 3-1

Even if you hate Barcelona, have to be happy they won today. Makes next Saturday's match-up with Real in El Classico so much better/bigger/important. Barca will go in down 4 points, with a chance to get it to 1 with a win.

Yep, a loss today would have been awful.

Fucking rough week for Madrid. @ Bayern, @ Barca, vs. Bayern.

I think they'll win out in the league after that point though, so even if Barca get the 3 points I think Madrid wins La Liga.

    Too many draws for Barca.
