Man I spent like 30 minutes trying to find it using advanced search today with no luck. I needed a good laugh.
Awesome pics by the way ohiobucks -
Laley23So, I was going through some things regarding the WC tonight.
As it stands, the seeded teams are:
- Brazil (host)
- Germany (lock)
- Argentina (lock)
- Spain (lock)
- Italy (lock)
- Portugal (not lock)
- Columbia (not lock)
- Netherlands (not lock)
So, you while the last 3 (at least as far as I can tell) are not locks to be in the "seeded pot", they are at the moment.
If it stays that way, you will then have a Pot of UEFA teams. Call it Pot B and Seeded Pot A. We then have 3 CONMEBOL (assuming Ecuador beats Jordan) teams left, 4 CONCACAF (assuming Mexico/Panama wins over New Zealand), 4 AFC and 5 CAF teams.
It would likely be a pot, call it Pot C, of CONCACAF and AFC and then CONMEBOL and CAF in Pot D.
Well...THIS SUCKS. The shitty teams are with us, and we will be paired with at LEAST a seeded team and UEFA team and then a 50-50 chance of a very good Pot D team.
Now, the way to avoid this is to have Mexico/Panama lose to make us have 3 teams qualify. Fifa would likely swap us and COMNEBOL so that CONCACAF and their 3 teams would be with CAF and their 5 teams which eliminates all the African squads and allows us a good shot at being paired with a weak Asian team. The other option is to have Jordan somehow win their playoff (LOLOLOL) or have one of the seeded teams be knocked off by someone outside of their region (another longshot, as I am pretty sure USA has the best chance at that...if there even is one.
So...does anyone see anything wrong in that scenario? I put it together very quickly... -
like_thatI foresee the group of death involving Netherlands if they don't get in the seeded pot.
-
OSHWho all has qualified already?
I don't want to look it up...
-- Netherlands
-- Italy
-- South Korea
-- Japan
-- Iran
-- United States
-- Costa Rica
-- Argentina
-- Spain
-- Brazil
-- Germany
Anyone else? -

I'm gonna hook up all of us. I just have to remember (aka you guys remind me) and still be on here in 2017 lol.Pick6;1499198 wrote:I know you're going to hook a fellow Chelsea fan up
P.S: I sat next to Brad Friedals agent at the game. He said Freidal wants the Crew job bad and has already met with MM to discuss the possiblity of it. Also said Friedal would run a 4-3-3 and would attack at all costs (struck me as odd).
Oh and he told me that AVB is a douche and lied to Friedals face about bringing in Llorent and that this will 100% be BF's last year at Spurs -

No surprise there. I tweet occasionally about Friedal being the next coach in Columbus. I wouldn't be shocked.ohiobucks1;1499256 wrote:I'm gonna hook up all of us. I just have to remember (aka you guys remind me) and still be on here in 2017 lol.

He's got a UEFA B License (I believe it's UEFA, but I know he has a B). I also think he's working on his A.
I agree. Belgium is going to be tough in the next two or three Cups.ohiobucks1;1499258 wrote:Belgium is going to ruin everything. Calling it right now. -

AutomatikWho's getting FIFA 14?
I fell off of my FIFA playing in the past year, but I recently moved in with some new roomies who all play. Damn, I forgot how much I love that game!! -
SportsAndLadyI'm getting 14. I skipped out on 13
-
Terry_TateI rarely play video games anymore, but recently played a little fifa and loved it again so may get 14. I've never done anything except quick matches though so will have to check everything else out
-
AutomatikOnline play is fun.
2 on 2 is also great and sometimes very intense. -
GOONx19My roommate will probably buy it so I'll play. I'm getting GTAV and usually own buy a game or two each year.
-
trep14Absolutely getting 14. 13 has gotten me so addicted to soccer. It's like the sport I go out of my way to follow the most now

Fuck. Yup. That was definitely the bruise I saw. -
OSHI'll be getting FIFA 14. I don't play much anymore, but I have a system and spend money on one game a year -- FIFA.
I gotta keep my game up when I can, these college guys want to challenge me. -
like_thatI think FIFA can take a lot of credit for increasing the popularity of soccer in the US. I've have plenty of USA American friends who could have given a rats ass about soccer. I got them to play FIFA, and now they are hooked.

Especially if you do career mode with a team. You get strangely invested in the teams real life success. On 13 I did a career mode with Bradford city and as I was playing with them, in real life they went all the way to the league cup final and got promoted to league one. Even though I don't play with them anymore, I still go out of my way to follow the team now
