Bob Ley was talking like Mexico was headed to the playoff vs. New Zealand. But, the way they look, its not a certainty at all they finish above 5th!!

I wanted to, but I couldnt take off work. I didnt have tickets, but I wanted to at least in town for it.

4 years from now, I am going to be there with tickets, no matter the price. I hope to have a bit more funds when Im in my 30s lol

    Ah well.

    Honduras 2 - 2 Panama

Cant complain about qualifying though!!! And, actually, a draw is nice. Puts Panama even with Mexico.

EDIT: Not over yet. But I doubt Panama gets a 3rd.

I mean, I fully expected him to get wasted with them. Just wasnt sure if he would openly have a bottle in public with cameras all over the place lol

I watched the game from Mexico. We stayed out of the local bars, figured the hotel bar was a little safer to be able to cheer!

I was just discussing this yesterday while watching the game. USA soccer fans are getting much better. It is nice to see.

To build a sold-out crowd of 24,584, U.S. Soccer reported ticket sales in 49 states (Wyoming! Really?). Flotillas of RVs poured into Columbus from all points. Their chants, tifos and energy will be the lasting memory of Tuesday night's game. When Jurgen Klinsmann walked out onto the Crew Stadium field for warm-ups the crowd went wild, causing the vigorous German to momentarily "raise the roof." The emotional choreography that preceded the game was a beautiful noise.

As an Englishman who has lived in this country for 20 years, it felt overwhelming to hear and hard at first to believe I was in America. Many U.S. internationals who toiled in the 1980s and early '90s will agree with me. The growth and passion of America's buoyant fan base is as important as the development of its football team. The fans passed the test with flying colors.

My co-worker bought plane tickets a couple weeks ago, set him back about $2k.

That said, if I had the money I would absolutely go. But if you're thinking about it, know that it will cost you a metric shit-ton of money.
