And he's still defending the trade haha. Hey Palmer all you gotta do is win one more game then a team QBed by freaking Tim Tebow

Palmer is garbage. Hasn't been the same since he got Kimo'd. Whenever the Bengals played the Browns the ONE player I didn't fear was Palmer because I knew he'd do something (stupid interceptions, inaccurate throws, etc) to keep the Browns in it. He's been wild high with his passes for some time. Ball sails on him.

I wonder how Palmer feels now after asking for that trade? He leaves town, our rookie QB helps us make the playoffs, while Palmer gets to watch our playoff game on TV

Palmer doesn't have extras like tv and cell phones....he doesn't waste money on mindless things. He has more important things to do with his money.

"@AdamSchefter: Jags asked for and received permission to interview Jets OC Brian Schottenheimer for their vacant head coaching job."

They probably encouraged them to hire him.

Didn't realize that Matt Stafford also eclipsed 5000 yards passing too yesterday. If Rodgers would've played we would've likely seen four QB's eclipse 5000 yards and Eli was 67 yards short. Truely a "pass first" league.

    Pass first and a lot!

Jerry Rice's season yardage record and his out of reach career receptions and yards may be reachable.

Someone tell me why the Colts would fire the Polian's??? Has to be related to disagreement about whether or not to draft Luck.

And THAT'S why I feel the Browns need to get a franchise QB if they want to have a snowballs chance in Hell in the AFC North.

And a coach willing to do what is necessary with said franchise QB

Why wouldn't they have? They havnt even had a decent pick since jOe addai

Angerer was a good pick, so was Collie. Their entire offense right now (Collie 4th, Tamme 4th, Garcon 6th) along with Donald Brown, Joseph Addai, Dallas Clark and Reggie Wayne (all 1st rounders) aren't bad. They just aren't the same without Peyton Manning.

I guess think of it this way. If the Colts have Peyton, and they go 10-6, 9-7 or even 8-8, do you fire them? If not, then firing them now is kind of backwards logic...

they prob don't want luck, colts do. simple as that.

Irsay contemplated firing them last year, per sources, but was talked out of it. This has been a flawed roster because Polian has fucked up the draft. You listed some solid sleepers. But notice how NONE of those 1st rounders are recent. He has whiffed big time on first day picks for years now and it has coincided with the organization weakening. They're all getting older and now have no suitable replacements. Have no depth at virtually any position, because of poor drafts and no FA signings.

Also, Donald Brown has sucked his whole career minus 6 games this year.

Pretty much everyone in Indy on Friday when I was here were hoping for Polian(s) to be fired.

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Former Ohio State University quarterback Troy Smith pleaded no contest this morning in Cleveland Municipal Court to traffic violations.
The former Glenville High School football standout and Heisman Trophy winner was found guilty of having an unsafe vehicle, tinted windows and no driver's license.
An open-container charge was dismissed because it involved a passenger, according to Smith's attorney, Joseph George.
Smith, 27, of Quing Mills., Mass., was stopped by Cleveland police about 9:30 p.m. Dec. 23 at West Ninth Street and Main Avenue.
He was arrested when officers discovered a warrant issued in February for driving with a suspended license and failure to appear in court.
Judge Anita Laster Mays fined Smith $325. He must also pay court costs, which bring the total to $697.

    2012 opponents are out:

    NFC East vs AFC North
    NFC North vs AFC South
    NFC South vs AFC West
    NFC West vs AFC East

Packers get New Orleans and San Francisco at home. Should be a couple of good games and could be a rematch of the NFC Championship game.

Haven't those been out a long time? Its a rotating schedule. That is 2 good matchups though, should help the Pack have homefield for a second straight year.

Probably have been out for a while, at least those. The home/away matchups have been posted for all the teams now though, I don't want to go through the time to list them all.

Gilyard is the fourth former Bearcat on the Eagles, including two players -- center Jason Kelce and tight end Brent Celek -- with whom he played at Cincinnati. Former Cincinnati standout Trent Cole is a defensive end for Philadelphia.
"It's a blessing to have former college teammates playing offense," Gilyard said. "That's going to help me immensely."

I remember during the lockout he was rehabbing an injury. This could be a good place for him. I didn't know Philly had so many Bearcats.
