Fought til the end but the bullpen shit in their hat
No way this is on Smith....he made some very good pitches and they got TWO Baltimore chops in a row. In all the years I've watched baseball, I don't think I've ever seen the ball bounce that high...

I said that on Friday, then again Saturday, and then finally Sunday. Each day it got worse. That was just a ridiculous series lol.

Remember the Twins played small ball back in the day? All the infield singles bouncing off the turf.

The B chops were amazingly lucky. But....that game was blown by our defense and Fausto's inability to go beyond the call of duty....and shut it off after Everett's error. If my memory serves me correctly....this was the first time our defense cost us a ball game.....which ain't bad.

Yes, nothing pissed me off more when the Tribe and Twins were in the hunt for the division about 10 years ago, and the twins would get these bullshit choppers right in front of the plate. I believe they beat the tribe on a walk off chopper actually.

Same with Smith though. Fausto after the error, got a dribbler up the 3rd base line. Great pitch, horrible luck. Then a bloop job to center. He, like smith, made 1 bad pitch that resulted in a 2 run double.

Indeed. That was one game that we should have won.

BRF is going to focus on the positive of coming off this nasty road trip at 3-3 (especially at this point in the season) and glad it's over.

    Edit: I forgot to say:

    Go Tribe!

As Acta said after the game, we had the lead after Everett's error so you can't lay it all on him.
