Jazz Guard Deron Williams to the Nets?

SQ_CraziesRose is getting MVP hype because most people don't want to see it handed to LeBron again after going to Miami. People are saying, "if you take him off that team, they're a below average club, take LeBron and the Heat still have D-Wade and Bosh". Yeah, they do, and no depth. The Bulls would still have a solid team, Boozer is a great player and he's not the only good one they've got. But guess what, that argument didn't work for LeBron when he couldn't get those shitty rosters in Cleveland to the top of the East. Why should that apply now? And guess what else, LeBron was taken off the Cavs roster and they completely fell apart and are the worst team in the league. And meanwhile he went to a team that wouldn't have enough basketballs to go around, yet averaging basically the same numbers that won him MVP's and 60+ games in Cleveland. Oh and his team has one of the best records in the league. Trust me, LeBron is far and away the MVP of the league and it'll show when they vote. Hype is just hype, heard it before--there is hype in every MVP race across all the major sports. Yet quite often someone wins it going away. The media and fans have to have something to talk about all season.

SQ_CraziesAnd before everyone flips shit about what I just said (because I'm confident that is going to happen), I didn't say you had to like it. That's just the reality of the situation.

Chicago is 3rd in the East, NO is 5th in the west...neither of those positions are "middle of the road (at best)" -
OQBYou're going to see more and more teams trading these star players away before their contracts end just so they can get a lot for them. Lebron, wade, and bosh started a ridiculous trend in the NBA, and it is only going to get worse.
Sure Boston and LA have won a combined 52 titles..that's right 52, but only 17 teams have even won the championship. The imbalance in the league has always existed, but with the recent moves of these star players, it has made it worse.
It's sad to see a team draft a superstar, and then just give up on him because they know he is just going to go to the big market team where he has a "real" chance at winning a championship. That is whats starting to happen around the league.
It's a 4-5 team league each and every year, with everyone else just barely hanging on. -

I wasn't talking about Chicago, I was talking about NO. And they are middle of the road, they're 34-25 after going 12-5 the first month of the season. CP3 doesn't have much help and his team isn't flashy so you don't hear about him. That team can play defense, but other than that, they aren't very good. They're 3-9 in their last 12. Just sayin', it's easy to forget about CP3 when his team isn't making headlines. But you won't agree with anything I say just based on principle. -

I have already proven that almost all of Lebrons #'s are down from last year. Lebron isn't the only one missing from Cleveland last year and Lebron isn't the only new great player that Miami signed this year. I stopped reading your post after you said "Trust me" so that is all I am responding to. -

And who's fault was it that Cleveland HAD those "shitty rosters?"
Answer: Lebron's -

Were you responding to me because if you were, I think EVERYONE knows that the reason Lebron's running partners were supposedly inferior was because of him signing the 3 year deal instead of 6. Ferry was chasing his tail trying to turn the roster over repeatedly to satisfy him (James). In the mean time, WHAT quality free agent is going to want to sign in Cleveland when their "superstar" is non-commital? Not Ferry's fault. It was Lebron's. -

The above is a good example of why Cleveland will forever be a shithole for sports franchises. -

Nice post Modell/Capone. -

And exactly why is this? Because we don't have to remove both of Lebron's nuts from our eye sockets to see what REALLY went on here like you do (and I know it will take you a few seconds to remove the Lebron "teabag" from your eyes so you can read this)? Cavs fans were like the dude who's girlfriend is blowing every Tom, Dick & Harry while his friends are telling him "she's a whore, ditch her." Like that guy we let "love", in this case love of Lebron, blind us. After the fact we see the dude is really a piece of shit who sabotaged the team, faked an injury and QUIT when the going got tough. -

You wish you could have a player that could do that on the best night of his career let alone when he "quit".
In typical Cleveland fashion, you refuse to face the reality of the situation but rather try to spread blame around and find someone to hate. -

Good one. I think everyone on the planet knows he tanked it. It's the nuthuggers, like you, that see no wrong in Lebron James.
He had EVERY right in the world to leave in free agency. THAT, I don't begrudge him for. I DO begrudge him for:
a) signing a 3 year extension AFTER colluding with Wade & Bosh on teaming up in another city hence handcuffing the Cavs management
b) handpicking shitbag players for Ferry to trade for to "satisfy" him
c) faking an elbow injury and subsequently tanking in the Boston series. Much easier to leave town if you're not coming off a championship.
d) taking his teammates out to party until the wee hours of the morning to celebrate his MVP when they have a key game approaching against Boston
e) not telling Gilbert & Cavs ownership he was leaving, hence screwing them over by not giving them a chance to pursue other free agents who were already gone
and finally...
f) pissing in the city of Cleveland's face with his little dog & pony show "Decision."
Like I said, he had EVERY right to leave. The way he did it makes him nothing more than a weasily bitch punk...just like the "fans" who choose to root for him. -

You don't have to worry about ME "stalking you." I actually got on this thread to see what skyhook posted because I had a feeling he was probably punking/pwning someone, which he was (you).
I will say that if I get on a thread and see one of your "sorry Lebron, I forgot to swallow" stupid fucking comments I'm gonna call you out on it. -

Ha what do you expect when you make the same moronic comments that Modell/Capone makes. Blah blah blah cleveland is a shithole with terrible teams blah blah blah
All you're missing is the hahahaaaa. Go grab your ankles for lbj you front runner. -

Yes I know this, you were comparing Rose and CP3, and then said NO is a middle of the road team; well they are only 2 spots away from each other in the standings in their respective conferences. So you can't say CP3 isn't getting MVP votes because of his team, because they are not middle of the road. -

I do not see why that is relavent to me showing that sq_crazies statement is wrong? I never said anything about whether his #'s should or should not go down.
"Go grab your ankles for lbj you front runner."
He does not have to do that because he has never let go of his ankles. -

This is my biggest problem with the trade. As a Nets fan, I was excited when I heard we landed Williams, but can the Nets even keep this guy? I knew if they landed Melo, they would forced an extension first. If he stays, this will be huge for the franchise, but I am keeping my enthusiasm at bay. -

But it's easy to forget about him when he plays on a middle of the road (at best) and you hear about Rose all year. The only reason he's getting MVP hype is because they have to build hype for someone not named LeBron--who is the obvious MVP of the league.
There is a reason the Knicks and Nets moved on Melo, then Williams was the 2nd choice. And the reason why the Knicks would rather have CP3 than Williams. Not to mention, look what it was going to cost to get Melo vs. Williams.
I don't think LeBron is the obvious MVP of the league. You're basically disqualified when you play with another Top 5 player. Rose is the MVP imo. -

I don't think I've heard a single word about this elbow "injury" since that series.
