AFC Championship - (6) New York Jets at (2) Pittsburgh Steelers

Schlereth made a good point about this game.

The last two games the Jets played were against Manning and Brady, obviously two offenses that spread it out and as a defense you'd rather force those teams to run.

The Steelers even though they have Big Ben are a run first team if they can run with success. They'll take what the defense gives them a lot more than a Manning or Brady who force the pass the more.

True...but we never get stuff too much in traffic after the game. We get out quickly onto the bridge and out pretty well.

Cannot wait till sunday........i am glad now steelers got beat by the Jets few weeks ago. Keeps them from thinking they have this game won..of which I think was an issue in past years hosting an AFC champ game.

the only way i'll be happy with the outcome of this game is if both teams lose.

    GOOOOOO REFS!

seriously though, i hate both of these teams, but i respect the steelers so i guess i'll be less bummed if they win. should be a good game though.

It's the game within the game.

I'm fine with it. They'll unleash it all on Sunday.

I'll say it again. I think Sanchez gets his WORLD ROCKED on Sunday.

Does saying it again make it more likely to happen?

No, but wouldn't that be great?

You got that feeling too...don't you?

That Sanchez will get rocked? I don't have that feeling at all.

I have a feeling that Ben and Shaun Ellis will be spending a lot of time together on Sunday, however. :)

I think if NY can't somewhat run the ball....the we'll have a Flacco-like performance from Sanchez.

And yes that could very well come true, but Ben has dealt with that before....so I'm not too worried.

Santonio Holmes says he doesn't know why Pittsburgh got rid of him and it would be a slap to the face of Pittsburgh if he wins the SuperBowl.

    Pittsburgh is racist, that's why.

I know why they got rid of him, although I don't agree with it. My issue was we practically got peanuts in exchange for one of the best YOUNG talented receivers in the league. That move still pisses me off when I think about it.

New England is racist, not Pittsburgh.

He would've been gone for nothing after this year anyways. Holmes is a great talent but that type of WR is easier to find than a franchise QB. It's still a business and the Rooney's aren't stupid. Keeping Ben and moving Holmes was an easy decision.

Yeah I understand all of that, but for a FIFTH ROUND PICK!!!!

Cannot complain too much with what the steelers have right now. Would they still have gotten Wallace if they had not traded Holmes?
  • september63
I just locked the NYJ in at +4. Keep it close Rex.

They had Wallace for a year already before they traded Holmes.

I think some of you dont realize that Holmes had two strikes against him in the nfl. One more infraction and he is gone for a year. That's the major reason they got rid of him.
