OQBI want to know what we gave up for this pick....
Phil Taylor from Baylor....interesting. -
like_thatWtf? What did they give up.
-
grodt3rd rounder this year (70 overall)
-
OhioStatePride2003Phil Taylor, DT, Baylor - I'm confused on this pick. I wish BR were still awake to explain. I wanna know details of the trade as well. I hope we didn't give up too much for this kid.
-
OQBShuan Rogers' replacement.....big time run stopper.
-
OhioStatePride2003All I can say is, that I have complete faith in Heckert and Co. It'll be interesting to see how the rest of the draft goes for us.
-
thedynasty1998Want to give Holmgren the benefit of the doubt, but what is this pick? Live getting picks in the trade but you pass on Julio Jones for this DT? Sure hope Holmgren knows something.
-
FabioI don't mind the pick. It does leave me scratching my head with Cam Jordan on the board, but with Rhubin and Taylor, we should have a massive wall of human being in our interior DLine.

You do realize we picked up 4 picks with that trade, one of them being a first round next year? Go back to your hiding, it was much better that way. -
Midstate01Wouldn't this guy have been there at 27?? They must have really liked something about him
-
KR1245Didnt see that one
Didnt see TJ Ward either -
OQBlol we need D-lineman....we draft a d-lineman. What's everyone getting their panties in a bunch for???
-

He was supposed to either be picked up by the Chiefs or the Jets. Can't remember what pick the jets are. 29? 30? -
buckeyes_wooweeWell they got A DT to go with Rubin. Now just need a couple DEs.

Panties aren't in a bunch. I like the pick. I just like Cam Jordan more. But I'm not being paid to make the picks so I'll trust them. -
OQBMaybe Heyward drops to us in the 2nd round as a Defensive end....
-

Kinda hoping Justin Houston with that one.... Then again I love athletic defensive ends that run quick 40's. Call me Al Davis lol -

-
OQBhaha Go Browns!

Mr MiyagiTaylor positives..... giant body imposing stature with sheer mass and girth inside. long arms and large hands
Taylor negatives.....weight fluctuates to much, marginal stamina. under achiever traits does not like practice. questionable mental toughness
In Heckert we trust i guess. i read where he compares to Pat Williams -

Him and Rubin. Our own version of the Williams brothers. We are in a division with teams that like to run the football. I dont have a problem with the pick. -
OQBExactly......
We have a strong secondary!
We have smart linebackers!
We have DT's that are HUGE!
Just need someone who can get after the QB. -
grodtBy everyone's admission there are some DEs that will be available in the 2nd round that would fit in perfectly. There haven't been any big DTs mentioned and that was just as big of a need. Love the two big bodies clogging the middle now.

KR1245What do we do in the 2nd?
DE
CB? WR?
