    hard
esty has 18 targets, 6 drops. that is just an awful fucking percentage. The drops are frustrating for little, but hopefully he works on it in the offseason and comes back hungry. wasn't he the one who said he was just doing his time and moving on? hopefully everyone comes together to build a winner, be great to see all these drafts put together by heckert, and seeing the guys who have been around a while(thomas, dawson, etc) get some playoff wins under their belt.

I believe most if not all of those drops by hardesty came in the titans game. I don't know what counts as an official drop, but Little definitely had 6 alone in the Bengals game.

Did Little say that himself? I thought someone else suggested that about him.

I believe LCB brought that up so take it FWIW.

I was pretty high on the prospect of potentially bringing in Desean Jackson but after what I've seen lately, pass. Lazy piece of shit. RUN your routes!

Id still take djax in cleveland. Hes immature as hell but he has a legit reason 2 be pissed off this season. Everyone gets paid around him and he isnt even getting 1m a year.

Like the talent but I'm a little "iffy" on his concussion history. Already have that with MoMass. Not comparing the talents, just the injuries.

I was laughing my ass off this morning listening to Booms on 92.3 ripping on Tom Heckert and blaming him for the Eagles collapse because he (Heckert) "assembled" the team even though 6 of the 11 defensive starters were brought in this past offseason. smh

Except Garcon is actually really good and put up numbers with Painter as QB. Collie has been injured a lot, not sure he's ever really put up big numbers when healthy, just an average at best slot WR. And Tamme is relevant?? When?? When Clark was out last year he had a few good games, but relevant?

Guys like Manning & Brady have made some less than stellar WR talent around them look much better than they are. I always laugh when someone says "the Browns wouldn't be successful even if <insert elite QB> was at the helm." It's bullshit. Those guys can make throws that Colt McCoy can only dream of.

Would those guys (Manning, Brady, Rodgers, etc) make the Browns a playoff team? Most likely not but they'd probably have at least another 2-3 wins with them. Those type of players DEMAND top tier performances from the players around them.

I think with Rodgers or Brady or Manning we would be a playoff team. We have lost 3 games this season that we should have won and having a real QB at the helm keeping the def off the field I could easily see us winning another game or two putting us in the playoff race.

So my next question for the diehard McCoy supporters is "if Colt throws a bunch of interceptions and looks miserable down the stretch in the Steelers/Ravens games like he did last year are you still 'all in' with him for 2012 or do they look for a QB in the 1st round?"

In this scenario I'd be down with a qb and lineman/wr in the first rd.

I've seen a few apologists who have blamed the Browns offensive woes on everything BUT McCoy. Whether it's the O-Line, WR's or Shurmur's playcalling, McCoy has gotten a pass with some. Now, I agree that the things I have mentioned have been less than desirable but McCoy can place plenty of blame on his own shoulders.

I wouldn't say that's diehard though. I want him to succeed, does that make me diehard? He's had a lot of shit things to work with this year, especially the offensive line, so count me in as one of the guys who doesn't think it's fair to put plenty of blame on mccoy. hell, the dropped passes and the shitty offensive line almost excuse him

after seeing what aj green did to us this past weekend (and especially looking at our current crop of wrs), you can't help but get excited over justin blackmon's potential but if mccoy proves he can't cut it, you got to burn that high pick on hopefully barkley

Didn't say you were a diehard but stairing down receivers, holding onto the ball too long, taking unnecessary sacks and inaccurate throws are CERTAINLY on him. A lot of people seem to overlook these things and just pass it off as "receivers can't catch", "they have no #1 WR", and "the O-Line sucks" when that's not always the case.

Which is what I was referring to with my question. If McCoy pulls a "Charlie Frye' in 4 of these last 5 games, they HAVE to be considering QB at the top of their list, imo.

so should teh chargers sack rivers? cuase he is literally doing all of those things listed at a much higher rate than mccoy. again, mccoy is a rookie in this league with a shit offensive line, no offensive explosion, and a fucked running game for most of the year. I'm with ya that he makes some mistakes, but come on what you are saying and blaming on him every qb does with the exception of the top 3.

i think colt has been progressing the last couple of games tho. granted, we haven't played the steelers or the ravens yet lol

I agree with this. He looked solid last game other than the int.

I thought he's progressed too but if he looks absolutely abysmal in 4 of the last 5?

And McCoy is NOT a rookie. Cam Newton & Andy Dalton are rookies.

i feel ya. the problem with this offense is that each phase (qb, rbs, wr/tes, line) has taken its turn to be abysmal at different parts of this season. hard to gauge where the true fault lies
