    Pat Shurmur has managed to out cave man Mangini, which is unheard of for a guy who purports himself to be an offensive guru (yet has never managed to lead an offense that finishes above the bottom 15% of the league.....29th in 09, 26th in 10, 26th in 11).

    You wonder what other than his last name impressed Holmgren enough to offer him the job, as he is proving to be exactly what we thought he was (a life long position coach) and yet we hired him anyway (to paraphrase the immortal rant of Dennis Green).

    One thing that was brought to my attention, and surprised me, was that both Phil Taylor & Rubin are having better seasons than Suh from Detroit. Both have quite a few more tackles and more (Taylor) or the same (Rubin) amount of sacks. 4-3 DT's should be allowing the MLB to freelance and make more tackles so surely Suh has them beat in THAT department, correct? Nope. DQ Jackson has about 30 more tackles than Stephen Tulloch.

    I saw on Espn that Hillis is a game time decision? I thought he was ruled out already. It would definitely be nice to see him get on the field and play with a chip on his shoulder

He had ONE good year that I doubt he ever duplicates but you want to rail on Hardesty coming off of an ACL. You DO realize it's the SECOND year coming off that injury that a player regains his speed/explosion (see Braylon Edwards jump in #'s from 2006 to 2007). If Hardesty plays injury free in 2012 and looks like shit, THEN he can be talked about as being a "bust."

    I did a little more research on the numbers (Rubin/Taylor/Jackson better numbers than Suh/Tulloch) and thought it might be attributed to the Browns defense being on the field for more defensive snaps thus having more opportunities for the Browns players to rack up numbers. Not the case. Through week 11, not including the Thanksgiving Day game, the Browns players numbers were noticeably better than Suh's & Tulloch's with about 15 LESS defensive snaps for the Browns.

    As much as I give certain posters shit for being QQers, overall the OC has some pretty thick skin compared to most message boards.

    I remember I tried posting on dawgtalkers. My username was Erica Womangini. I was just talking regular Browns football, but everyone QQ'd about my username, and the administrator finally banned the username. I came back with another username (Lou Groza), talked about the same thing, and there was no problem. smh.

    No, the OBR is pretty thick skinned. You can ask WriterBuckeye or COA about this. If anything, Barry McBride is lenient to a fault over there. Long time posters have bitched about him allowing Steeler trolls to bombard the board after Browns losses and he's allowed that "freedom of speech.'

    I saw durkie's post in question and he came off as a TOTAL douchebag calling out the whole fan base, questioning their fanhood with his FIRST post. You have to be a VERY big douchebag to get run from the OBR. I give you exhibit A, DeyDurkie.

    To be fair to Hillis, he was throwing up, lost a ton of weight etc... I'll give him the benefit of the doubt on that one. The whole agent thing was just dumb, I understand his agent was trying to help him take some of the pressure but he just made things worse. Hillis gets a pass on that one from me.

    Watching Colt's INT play again I'm sure where in the fuck shurmur gets off saying he was trying to throw it away. There is no way he was trying to, he was def trying to get it to Little and just flat out under threw him on a bad decision.
