Because the Bengals are the best team in football. -

The Bengals can beat the Steelers....Bruce Arians can keep any team in it...and if Pittsburgh gets called for holding a lot by the OL and the DL can't get to Palmer...it'll be TIGHT
I agree. That's why I think the AFC is New England's to win at the moment. Of the top teams, they seem to be the one who has the ability to put teams away early. With a couple of exceptions (Oakland, Tampa Bay), all of Pittsburgh's wins seem to be the sort that either goes down to the wire or is close until the fourth (like the Cleveland game, where it was reasonably close until Pittsburgh put it away late). And the same seems to be pretty true of the Jets and Baltimore. In recent weeks, New England has a decisive win over Pittsburgh and an brutalization of the Jets in their favor. And, unless they really stumble, will have home field advantage.
Talent-wise, I think the Steelers can win it, but they just don't put teams away. No way Cincy should have come back against them. No way Buffalo should have taken them to OT. But it happens often...every year. That hideous five-game losing streak last year...it seemed like they kept teams in the game and blew it week after week. They haven't blown it like that this year, but they're dancing on a tightrope too much for my tastes (and heart). -
ThinthickbigredTough game again Steelers could squeek by or beat the Bungles by 40 ..hard to call ...If #92 is going to get fined this week I hope its a lucky shot on TO ..ofcourse that guy doesnt go anywhere near the middle

Commander of AwesomeComing off the tough game against Baltimore in which the steelers were dominated physically, how they won if still mindboggling as watching it felt the whole game that the ravens had it in control. I bet Tomlin looks ahead of the schedule and lets them lose focus. Bengals are a team with nothing to lose and could go all out. Since the steelers got beat up so bad physically (ben, Miller, etc...) I doubt they've had time to recover and will let this game slip away narrowing the race in the AFC north. If the Bengals are up at halftime which could easily happen with a big game from TO, the steeler fans will be taken out of the game, and thus not there to root their team on, esp with the history of the Steeler fans leaving early in games (see the 2003 game against the Browns in which Tim Couch put 33 on them, by the 4th qt the stadium was a ghost town, I know, I was there.)
Bengals 27 - 13 over the steelers as the steelers aren't ready to play and focusing on next week, making for a very interesting AFC north race. -

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't a certain insurance salesman gone NFL QB send Tim Couch home that post season? -

Wait, you said that you went to bed at halftime and didn't watch the 2nd half on the Steelers-Ravens thread the day after the game so how did it feel "as you were watching that the Ravens were in control the WHOLE game"???
Not even saying I disagree with that but how would you know that if you didn't watch the 2nd half? Or are you just making stuff up? Either you watched the whole game or you didn't.
Oh well, see ya' January 2nd. -

Yep you're are indeed wrong. That season neither the Browns nor the steelers were in the postseason (steelers were 6-10). Way to know your team. -

Interesting fact about that 2003 Steelers-Browns game that Cleveland won.....it was the last time the Browns beat the Steelers until last December.
When you think about it, that's pretty crazy. -

Interesting fact about last season, the Browns ruined the steelers playoff hopes with that beat down, and helped the community as well by capturing a known sex offender. -

In the 2003 NFL Playoffs ('02 season), the insurance salesman turned QB sent Kelly Holcomb and company packing. 36-33.
Great game. -
Commander of Awesomeyea different season so nice FAIL, but congrats on bringing it up because you're upset that I dont think "your" team will win on Sunday. God forbid someone not pick them to win every game, my god you're worse than a 5 yr old.

You conveniently skipped over my question. Did you go to bed at halftime or did you watch the whole game? You've said both. Maybe you can clear that up for us. -
Commander of AwesomeWent to bed at halftime but also saw much of the second half that evening as I watched it while eating dinner to see where the Ravens blew it, though I'll admit it inspector gadget, I did skip commercials!

I could care less who you pick. You talked about how it felt like the Ravens were in control the whole game the other night but the day after you said you went to bed at halftime.
Which is it? -
THE4RINGZWhy are we discussing last weeks game on a thread dedicated to this weeks game?

I think that's when the Browns were finishing strong to carry that into this season. -

Ohhhhh, that makes sense now. You were compelled to watch how the Steelers won the game. Got it.
Cool. See ya' January 2nd. -

Ahhh I knew it was 02 or 03 playoffs.
Does anyone smell a "troll" in this thread? lmao....this is too funny to me!! -

My bad.
I should know better than to respond to those who troll. -

Its getting too easy to put him in his place. -
Commander of AwesomeYet you talk in a steelers thread filled with Trolls (non, rock, capone).... Hypocrite much? We know the mods do.

I don't respond to the trolling they may do....just the regular convo.
There's a difference.
See ya' 1-2-11 -
AutomatikI'm not really worried about this game. Could Cincy's pass rush cause problems?
I'd just like to see Mendenhall get his carries and cruise to a rather easy victory. Something like 24-10. -

What are you hear to talk about trolls, fails, or the actual topic?
