Week 14: Cincinnati Bengals (2-10) at Pittsburgh Steelers (9-3)

Tiger2003Holmes is better at running the short routes yes. But Wallace is a better deep threat. The both demand alot of attention.
-
Tiger2003Also the Steelers threw the ball almost 550 times last year.....and this year is only around 350

AutomatikJust tell LJ he was right so he can stfu.
Another ugly W today, but again I'll take it. -

There must be a reason why they're the most popular team in the league too. Wonder why? -
AutomatikWhat happened at the end? Coverage was switched.

The Steelers punted the ball and the clock ran out...and there was a skirmish. -

Big fight, probably started by the Bengals. Many players involved, big scrum, bodies thrown to the ground, etc. -
Be NiceWas Ben's nose involved?

Had nothing to do with me being right, it had everything to do with him just completely ignoring what I was saying about how teams had to prepare schematically. Everyone knows that Wallace is a great deep threat, but he provides nothing over the middle. That really hurts the team on 3rd and 5, which is where Holmes was absolutely clutch. It was also where Holmes would demand triple coverage opening up the other receivers. There is no one on the team this year that brings triple coverage on a 3rd and 5.Automatik;597849 wrote:Just tell LJ he was right so he can stfu.

You have got to be a fucking idiot.... -

Umm, where did I disagree with any of that? All you keep talking about is how great of a deep threat he is, while I am talking about why the offense seems to stall constantly, which would be their lack of a great #1 WR, which they had in Holmes. -
Tiger2003LJ;597821 wrote:So you agree that Holmes was a better overall WR who opened up the offense more because of his deep play ability as well as his clutch ability in the short and intermediate routes?
I agreed with you that Holmes was better at the short routes but like I said I believe Wallace is a better deep threat that is why he has led the league the only 2 years in YPC. They both demand alot of double teams, but another reason why so many Steelers had so many yards is because they Steelers threw the ball about 550 times last year and only 350 this year not because Holmes completely opened up the offense, yes he did help but was not the only reason. -
Ironman92How many games has Polamalu single-handedly sealed the win 4? 5?....3 in a row?
Defensive POY -
bigdaddy2003How many times can the D pull out a W for them though? One has to believe it can only take them so far.
-
THE4RINGZLets end the Wallace v. Holmes debate. Holmes plays for another team now.

It's called jealousy. Steelers are 10-3 and headed to at least the 2nd seed. I'll take it. -

They have thrown the ball 76 times less so far this season vs the same time last season. BUT, last year they average 32 pass attempts per game with Ben, but this year they have averaged *gasp* 32 pass attempts per game with Ben. The amount of times they have thrown the ball has not changed since last year when Ben is in the game. That is not the problem. -
Art ModellI'll take Roethlisberger as my qb over anyone in the league.

Took your Ravens all the way to a Super Bowl title. -

The only debate is that the Steelers lack a true #1 WR and it shows. No matter if it was Holmes, Fitzgerald or Randy Moss last year, who it was doesn't change the fact that they lost their #1 and it shows.
