Lebron says no

  • DA isn't having fun
When asked if he'd like to apologize to the fans.

    Thoughts?

    pretty much....biggest ego in sports.
  • Laley23
He handled that pretty well. It seemed as though he regretted the way it went down by saying he has to live with his decisions. No way can he just straight up say sorry at this point though.

Talking about your own "greatness" and refusing to apologize are handling it well?

sadly...that is a step up from how he normally handles things.

But he'll "continue with my greatness" Lol

I know he didn't mean it that way, really trying to speak as quickly as possible and GTFO but it will be used against him fo sho.

I don't understand what is wrong with him saying "greatness." Lebron will go down as one of the greatest players of all time, so why is it a big deal if he says greatness? Everybody gushes over the fact that Jordan knew he was the best and was not afraid to let anybody know it. Kobe says things like that quite often, and he get gets praised for it.

Maybe because they have 11 rings together, and lebron has 0?

I don't recall Pippen talkin' smack like that.

It still does not take away from the fact that he has "greatness." Besides everybody is always on him for not having the "it" factor and say he's too passive. Yet when he says something that shows he really think he is the best, it's his huge ego. You can't have it both ways, especially after he just embarrassed the Cavs.

Why the fuck should lebron apologize to people he owed nothing to?
  • Laley23
Even though he embarrassed the Cavs, he did it in the way that Cavs fans have always complained about. He was having WAY to much fun. This should have been a game where he didnt really smile much. He just doesnt seem to want to piss off anyone in the league, and it comes back to hurt him.

The Pippen comparison is stupid. Lebron has been the best player on the Heat this year.

Yeah it hurt him against the Pistons in the Eastern Conference Championship. It hurt him in Game 7 against the Celtics three years ago when he almost single handedly beat them. It hurt him against the Magic two years ago when he put up ridiculous stats but nobody else showed up to play for the Cavs. Maybe Lebron has too much "fun." Seemed to me Malcolm Jenkins and the Buckeyes were having a ball at Wisconsin a couple years ago doing the "Jump Around," right before the Buckeyes came back and Jenkins had the game clinching interceptions.

I know it's stupid but the skills comparison isn't the point... Jordan stayed in Chicago and gutted it out 'till the pieces were assembled. Kobe ran Shaq outta town...

LeBron pissed down his leg and went to South Beach

that will be his legacy whether he wins anything or not.

In the NBA, you have to have titles to be considered great. Who is thought of as a great NBA player that never won a championship?

Karl Malone, John Stockton, Pistol Pete, Reggie etc,

...and maybe because he doesnt exude any of the fire during the season, his teammates cant help him in those situations. LeBron is a GREAT player...but he has never seemed to have the killer instinct. When he has had amazing playoffs, he still seems nonchalant about it. He DOES get fired up and pumped up n the playoffs, but its the only time, and it isnt to the level it should be.

That may be true but as a society, we forget things really quickly. Nobody cares to remember how horrible of a teammate Kobe was when he was asked to be traded. Winning makes people forget. Maybe not Cleveland, but the rest of the country will easily forget if he wins.

    Those players are great yes.

But they are not on the same level as far as greatness as Michael, Bill, Larry, Wilt, Kareem, Magic, Kobe and the like.

See last year we were all happy that Lebron and teammates could have so much fun during a blowout. All the talk was about how the chemistry was so great, they could dominate and have fun. Now that he is gone, he does the same thing, and it was something that made Cavs fans in the past, even though the opposite is true. Maybe it made you mad, but I remember a lot of people on here defending his actions.

No you are right, they aren't. But if the Lakers beat the Pistons a few years back, Karl Malone does not get put into their category because of a ring.

Eh, Im not a Cavs fan so I never really followed them. I know about LeBron because he is LeBron. I followed the Cavs in general cause Im in Toledo so I know about everything. But I never got into their team chemistry or anything like that.

I was on Noahs side with the dancing though...
