Lebron says no

Why should he apologize? To apologize is to admit and acknowledge a wrong. Last I check he was a FREE agent. He owes the people in Cleveland nothing. Especially with the way they act.

GTFO= get the fuck out. I really don't care what your reasoning is. You are losing credibility if you are suggesting the Pirates "fight" for their city. Their management even lays down. At least the cavs have management that will keep fighting to bring a winning team.

    Karl Malone w/ a ring = Karl Malone w/o a ring

He wanted to play with his Buds and win a championship, so what. Gilbert should apologize to the fans for having the best player in the league and not surronding him with the talent to win.

The Pirates have a promising group of young players that will be around for at least the next 4-5 years. They also have stockpiled a ton of pitching prospects through the draft the past two years and they'll have the No. 1 pick this year to probably draft Anthony Rendon, a big-time hitting prospect. Things are looking up finally for the Pirates.

Factor that in with a football team that is again in the thick of the NFL playoff race and an NHL team with the best player in the world and a chance at another Stanley Cup this year, and I think Pittsburgh sports clearly are in better shape than Cleveland.

LOL. NON, the Pirates suck. STFU.

And so do the college (or lack thereof) sports in Pittsburgh. The Panthers are just trash.

Where was I ever talking about the steelers or penguins? Nice fail. I am sure you are a huge hockey fan too /sarcasm.

"The pirates ave a promising group of young players" lmao GTFO. I can say the same about the Tribe and Browns.

Pitt basketball is No. 3 in the country. Pitt football is above average, usually a 7-9 win caliber team.

And the Pirates are coming, watch out!

The Cavs are done. The LeBron era is over. No title. The show is over.

    Better face reality, dude.

The Pitt Panthers are GARBAGE. The basketball team will fade, as usual. they'll have another early tourney exit.

The Pirates suck and have had what, 18 or 19 STRAIGHT losing seasons? That is the epitome of ASS.

You're taking shots at the Pirates acting like they should be more like the Cavs.

A franchise that has done what?

They had the best player in the league, went to the playoffs and failed every time. That took a lot from the front office to build a playoff team around LeBron.

You're seeing right now what they're left with after his departure.

That's the best Cleveland team vs. the worst Pittsburgh team and the Cavs aren't anything now.

You take the best player away from ANY NBA team for an entire season and see what they do.

Also, you don't know anything about baseball because the Pirates suck. Since the Pirates have sucked since 1992, that means your IQ about baseball is most likely very terribly low.

    Sorry.

No, the other Pittsburgh poster was trying to compare the pirates to the cavs. My point was at least the Cavs have management (starting with gilbert) that will try as hard as possible to get the team back to a contending team (yes it will be very difficult to get back to that level, but they are still going to try). Can you actually say Pirates management has done shit for the past 20 years? Try reading the thread, before you post your typical bullshit. All you ever post is about how recently Pittsburgh has been better than Cleveland, when that isn't even what the discussion is about. We try to talk about the Browns/Dolphins matchup in the Browns thread, and all you do is chime with your bullshit remarks that have nothing to do with the game. We get it dude, your whole life is about Pittsburgh sports. Congrats. I can't imagine what you would do with yourself if Pittsburgh wasn't doing too well.

That's a stretch to call Pitt sports (football and basketball) garbage. Look at some of the great players the Panthers have had over the past few years in football and they've been to a lot of bowl games. That's respectable.

The only team below the line is the Pirates, but like I said they have a good foundation now. Tabata, Walker, McCutchen, Alvarez, etc.

If they're going to model themselves after any franchises it will be the Steelers or Penguins. Those that can deliver when it counts.
