I think with Tampa hitting a wall recently and with how dominant the Canucks are i'd put D. Sedin over Stamkos. Also with how the Ducks are playing right now I'd put Corey Perry over Stamkos too. The Ducks play in a harder conference and Perry is about to pass Stamkos in goals. If the ducks hold on and make it i think it's between Sedin and Perry and Stamkos in 3rd. I doubt we'll see a goalie win it. -

Too bad I'll never have to use it. -
rock_knutneBTW, you two butt pirates want to pop off about getting this thread off topic, well this isn't about the Hart Trophy, it's about the Pittsburgh Penguins, so do us a favor and get the fuck out!

Weird if the atlantic is so much better how come boston has a better record in the atlantic than the penguins? Guess if the NE is garbage then the atlantic is total shit.
I'd put Thomas, Price and Lundqvist over MAF for the MVP.
Two can play that game! How come the Pens have more points than the Bruins? -

I agree. I would take Sedin over Perry. He is on the best team in the league record wise, and is currently leading the league in points. He is 2nd in goals and assists, not too far behind his bro and stamkos. -

Cry me a river.
Well I guess if you don't want to talk about the hart then you're conceding no one on the pens deserves it. I guess if you thought a penguin deserved it then it would be relevant. But I bet the award is biased in your opinion since the entire penguins roster can't win it. -

Because you've played an extra game. -

What's nut is that Henrick is in 3rd and no one is talking about him winning it again. They might be the most dominant duo in hockey right now. Them, Stamkos/St. Louis, and Crosby/Malkin are probably the top 3 -

Dude, Thomas is better goalie this season. -

93.7 The Fan retracted this report saying Ray Shero never made the statement and called a two to three week return for Sid as speculation. They jumped the gun with bad info.rock_knutne;728892 wrote:Per 93.7 the Fan in Pittsburgh, Pens GM Ray Shero announced that Crosby will be back in two to three weeks. LOL, they've been ahead of the Bruins all year even when the Pens had a game or two in hand. Just proves that the Atlantic is tougher when their second place team is level or has more points than the other two divison leaders.Raw Dawgin' it;728937 wrote:Because you've played an extra game. -

1 game = 2 points. Pitt has played 1 more game and is 2 points ahead...it's simple math. -

Einstein, during the course of the year the volume of games played on a given week fluctuate. There's been stretches where the Pens had a game or two in hand on the Bruins and vice versa, the schedule is crazy..........so much for your "simple" math! -

yes and those games led to right now with the pens up 2 points with 1 game. So again, they're a head in point because they played more games. It's a fact, you can't argue it as much as you try. -

Brainiac......the facts are Boston has to play that game in hand and could very well lose! So they tie on points, big deal! It still shows that the Atlantic is tougher when all the Bruins can muster is a tie on points with the second place team.Raw Dawgin' it;729706 wrote:yes and those games led to right now with the pens up 2 points with 1 game. we have a better record than the pens vs the atlantic so can't be that tough. -
like_thatI see rock is getting sidetracked again. Anyway back to discussion. Should be interesting to watch the Pens and Tampa go at it today for a playoff preview. Maybe tampa can steal home ice, and Stamkos can make a last minute case for MVP. Pens lock up the 4th seed at best with a win today though.

The only thing that's sidetracked is your brain retard! BTW, my discussion involves the Penguins which just happens to be the topic of this thread.like_that;729779 wrote:I see rock is getting sidetracked again. Anyway back to discussion. But the best you can do is be level on points.......give it up, you can't win! -

Stamkos is definitely losing ground on the MVP race, especially with Corey Perry tied with him for most goals. I think right now Stamkos has a better shot at the Maurice Richard (most goals) trophy than the Hart. -

I agree. Perry is actually ahead now by 2 goals. That should be an interesting race. The Maurice Richard trophy would be a solid consolation prize. I do see a Hart trophy in Stamkos' future though. -

With a healthy Crosby I'm not so sure. This was his year to do it and he's faded a lot in the last quarter of the season. Pierre LaBrun was saying MAF would have a shot at the Vezina if he didn't suck for the first 6 weeks of the season. -

Crosby isn't going to win it every year. There is a reason why he has only won it once. Seems to be injury prone now too. Seems once somebody gets a concussion other concussions follow throughout their career in a higher frequency. I see Stamkos pulling a Hart Trophy some point in his career. He is only 21.
