Not trolling dude, you're the only one on here who thinks cookes' hit was legal. In fact, you might be the only person period who thinks that.rock_knutne;677751 wrote:Are you that stupid? The Islanders were instructed to go out and hurt people from start to finish. Plus they bring up a minor leaguer who's only purpose is to fight while they still have their regular enforcer (Gillies) in the lineup.
Yourself, your alter ego (rawdawg) and like that need to just leave this thread and go troll in the basement where you belong! -

No, I'm not the only. There's plenty of hockey writers who thought it was a BS call and suspension, especially since that pussy got up and played the rest of the game injury free. -

No, he can't!Automatik;677754 wrote:Just like the situations your pal was trying to compare, the sports are completely different.
The rest I'm sure you can figure out.
Did you even watch the game? It wasn't NY being physical....they were gooning it up the entire game. I'm all for a little revenge, when its warranted. This was not. It was bullshit. -

Ha so it's not dirty because he happened to be okay?!?! HAHAHA wow you sound dumb. He kneed Ovie but he was fine, so i guess that was clean too. -

Its called agreeing to to disagree. I'll make it easier for you to understand....GET THE FUCK OVER IT.

What happened on Long Island was absolutely ridiculous.
I disagree, in both scenarios, they both were being dirty. When Harrison did it, the Pittsburgh faithful was all about it, even discussing how "this is how sports are played in pittsburgh." Then when he got fined everyone was all up in arms. As for the Islanders game, same thing they were being dirty, and I guess all I can say is look at the reactions here. Just another case of being able to dish it but not take it. -

Tyutin obviously made a meal of it, he saw Cooke coming not once but twice! As for Ovechkin, what comes around goes around, he's no fucking angel.......his knee shot to Gonchar and his blatant runs at people, leaving his feet every single, time proves it, but hey, he's Alex Ovechkin, he gets a free pass!Raw Dawgin' it;677774 wrote:Ha so it's not dirty because he happened to be okay?!?! What NY was doing was a little more than being "dirty." You're trying to compare a few fined football hits over several games to one game full of fighting and dirty play in COMPLETELY DIFFERENT sports. The Islanders were out there with intent to start shit....aka gooning it up. It was taking away from the game....hard to watch.
For the record, I wasn't "up in arms" about Harrison's hits. I think some deserved penalties/fines, while others did not. I just want consistency.
I have no issues with the suspensions dealt and I'm actually surprised the docked the Islanders 100k. -

Dude, this post just proves you're bitter. Hitting Ovie wasn't dirty because he deserved it? (smh) and because Tyutin knew he was coming doesn't mean it's legal to check a guy in the back and leave your feet (smh)
All your post are doing is hammering home that you're bitter no action was taken when crosby was hit. And Mario flapping his gums now is a joke. -

Burnside hates Mario, ever since he turned him for an interview. -
End of LineWhat happened to Talbot and Tangradi is unacceptable in the NHL

Raw Dawgin' itIt's too bad crosby is hurt, would've loved to have seen what would've happened to him in this game and if the coach would've even let him on the ice

rock_knutneI've read quite a few articles since Mario made his statement and it seems a lot of people are not with him and that's to be expected. When Mario played he never got any respect from the league and was constantly grabbed, clutched, held and slashed (something you could never ever do to Gretzky) every time he had the puck because that's the only way he could be stopped, thus leading to Mario calling the NHL a "garage league". I find it funny that everyone is saying that because Mario employs Matt Cooke, he's being a hypocrite on the matter at hand. Last I saw, Matt Cooke isn't hitting guys when they're down and hurt, Matt Cooke isn't trying to sucker punch people and Matt Cooke's actions aren't premeditated. It's funny that some of these idiots running NHL franchises can't seperate the fact that what the Islanders did was a premeditated act. Mario overcame all that bullshit as a player and he will overcome the same assholes who are against him now.

Raw Dawgin' itSounds like Mario is saying "screw you guys! I'm taking my ball and going home!" He needs to get off his soup box.

CinciX12Got the chance to go to Consol on Sunday. Even for a basketball game, holy shit. Place sets the standard for what an arena should be. Phenomenal.

Is that the only response you have COA? I mean it's either "fail", "pwned' (which isn't even a word) or it's always classified as crying when you disagree with it, which is pretty much everything and anything a Pittsburgh fan posts. Pathetic!Raw Dawgin' it;680406 wrote:Sounds like an other cry baby post on your part. -
