Week 11: Oakland Raiders (5-4) at Pittsburgh Steelers (6-3)

killer_ewok"Ran up on him." LOL
Anyways, the Steeler defense absolutely dominated an offense that had put up some great numbers in their last few games. McFadden was averaging 108 rushing YPG. He had 14 yards on 10 carries against Pittsburgh. The Steelers are on pace to be one of the top statistical run defenses of all time. Impressive. -

Normally I'd agree with you, but he got hit hard and it was totally unexpected. So, no, I don't think he flopped. -

He definitely flopped. Big Ben is a difficult man to tackle and never goes down easy....he went down like he was shot!!!...lol
Anyhow, there is nothing wrong with it, it is a veteran move to help the ref make the call in case he missed it to begin with. -

And besides, if the NFL is going to go crazy with crackdowns on "vicious" hits, it's an intelligent move for a QB to flop like Vlade Divac in the attempt to draw cheap flags. If they're going to make the rules a certain way, milk it for all it's worth. -
I Wear PantsFirst, it wouldn't matter if he did flop. Dude still punched him and deserved to be ejected.
Second, I don't think he necessarily flopped. Put on a helmet and then have someone hit you with an upward motion to the front of your facemask...without you knowing its coming. I bet you fall down, not necessarily because the hit knocked you down but because when your neck is pushed back like that most of us will fall down to avoid an injury, even if one probably isn't coming. Just instinct. -

I agree with this completely. NBA players make a living doing this...it is playing within the rules.
EDIT: also, I am not defending Seymour...dude def got what he deserved...it was cheap. -
I Wear PantsDiving = bad
Flopping = understandable.
Diving is when you pretend there has been a foul and there really wasn't in an attempt to draw a foul, penalty, pk, etc.
Flopping is when you embellish what was actually a foul in an attempt to draw the foul. -

2quik is not a Browns/Bengals fan....at least I don't think so. -
ts1227Seymour gets a $25,000 slap on the wrist.
On ESPN Mort said there's a set schedule of fines for fighting instances. Why is there something outlined for this, and Harrison gets fined 3x as much for hits that while dirty (at least the Massaquoi one) were at least during a live ball situation?
Goodell is a piece of shit. -
SportsAndLadyHelmet to helmet hits can seriously injure a player's life.
A slap to the head (with a helmet on, too) cannot.
Hence, the higher fine. -

Now somebody needs to punch Kobe Rapist in the fucking face. -

So your saying a hit on a qb between the whistles deserves more of a fine than a cheapshot after the whistle. Gotcha. -

Put a helmet on and go ask James Harrison to drill you over the middle w/ a helmet to helmet hit. Then go put a helmet on and ask James Harrison to slap you on the head. Then tell me which one you think is worse.
Besides, I would argue that Seymour being ejected more than makes up for the extra difference in fines. -
