Week 11: Oakland Raiders (5-4) at Pittsburgh Steelers (6-3)

I personally think the Steelers secondary is very average, but with the way the rules are anymore, there is no such thing as a shutdown corner(excluding Revis and a couple others). A great pass rush is what good defenses have now..it is the only way to stop these great offenses. No pressure and you end up getting blown out just like the Steelers did this past week. The Steelers without Smith and if Troy gets hurt(or has a lingering injury) are right back to where they were last year in my opinion. I cannot stand Troy, but they are a completely different defense without him.

Yeah. I expect Ben's numbers as far as sacks and taking hits to be up there because that's his style to hold on as long as possible, but when they're not getting any notable pressure on Brady...that's signing your death warrant. You give him time, he'll find a guy almost every time. And then I have to sit on my couch with my head in my hands watching Justin Bieber's separated-at-birth older brother celebrating intensely. God, I hate that fuck.

You're kidding, right? I don't troll Browns threads. Not even close. If so, let's see it. Modell does so you just return the favor to ALL of us for his bullshit. I wish you two had your own message board.

Yeah, but your team got to wipe the smirk off his face. My team just fell to 1-4 against him, allowing me the "pleasure" of reading columns by people ejaculating over how he's such an intense gamer who rises to the occasion in these huge big-time road games because he's the true Greatest American Hero and we all should be blessed just to be able to see him. There was nothing Hollywood about it, no pretty-boy overtones to be found. Standing in the back of the north end zone at Heinz Field, face to face with Steelers fans fuming over their team’s 20-point deficit, the New England Patriots’ impassioned quarterback celebrated his 3-yard touchdown run by spiking the football like Shawn Kemp throwing down a tomahawk dunk. Then Brady, in a fit of brash defiance, stared into the stands and scowled.

It was part Muhammad Ali standing over Sonny Liston, part Ray Lewis(notes) in any visiting venue. And it felt so good.
Wipe the Brady-jizz off your chin, Silver...

This board is a joke at times.......if you give an opinion that the majority doesn't agree with, you're considered a dumb fucking troll, what a shame!

From one of the biggest trolls on the boards. Your opinion holds about as much weight as Capone with me.
  • Laley23
Id say 1 of those could be considered bad. The one were Killer inserted the "ex-Steeler" for no reason. It was truth, but that was to get a response. The others are just talking about the game or responding to something. Not trolling.
  • Commander of Awesome
He wasn't the only one trolling (Non, capone, Rock to name the 3 most prominent). There were several in the last few weeks that it became a pissing match and hardly any substance. I couldnt discuss the browns only argue with dumbass steelers fans.
  • wes_mantooth
Why don't we just squash all of this and get back on topic. I will try to do a little better job(although I am always going to be a shitty mod) at keeping the trolling out of these game threads.

I had a feeling when I was driving home from the game and hearing Reed's comments that he'd be gone this week.

I haven't heard the comments, but from what I understand he basically blamed the field condition correct?

And cried because those mean ol' fans boo'd him.
"I'm not one to make excuses," Reed began. "I'll take the credit for the miss. It was a great snap, a great hold, great protection. It's kind of hard when you plant your foot and the hole -- a piece of ground moves where the ball's under the holder. I almost missed the ball completely.

"I'm not going to make excuses. If you've played any kind of sports in your life, you realize that what we play on is not very good turf. It happens."
AKA: "I'm not going to make excuses...BUT IT WAS THE FIELD'S FAULT!!!!"
"Like I said there's 95 percent of those fans that got my back totally and then 5 percent you always hear. They're right by the kicking net, they were bashing me, but that's life, man, you got to move on. The worst thing for me to do would be to fight back at them.

"They started before the game even started. You know, like I said, they buy tickets just to bash me and Dan [Sepulveda] and Greg [Warren]. It's more me because points come off my foot."
Yes. How dare fans boo a player for missing a 26-yard field in a game you're trailing and could REALLY FUCKING USE SOME DAMN POINTS?!?!??

I derive a small amount of enjoyment that Reed was employed by the Steelers, an otherwise well run conscientious program (Ben mess aside).

But I have to admit to be being more happy this bag-o-douche is no longer in the league. A drunken fuck of his ilk should not be allowed to use the line...

"Yeah I'm the kicker for the Steelers."

...to pick up chicks Heretic only dreams about. :)

You mean conscious ones, right? That has been a problem for me.

All I have time to find for now.

If you really think that is trolling......you need to get some thicker skin. For Pete's sake.....just because a Steeler fan posts on a Browns thread or vice versa....that doesn't mean they're trolling. I can honestly say that even the "ex-Steeler" line wasn't to piss people off. There was some irony there IMO and that's why I posted it. I wasn't looking for a response. If somebody said "the ex-Brown just killed the Steelers" and that just actually happened and that's all they said.....I wouldn't bat an eyelash. I can see how it would look like that, but I'm being honest. You don't have to believe me. Of course, repeatedly spouting "Shitsburgh" on Steelers threads doesn't leave much to the imagination.

I think most on this board would agree that I'm not a troll. I don't start shit nor do I provoke. However, I will respond and sometimes I do engage in the pissing matches. I don't cast the first stone. I will drop a fucking boulder on you in response though.

    You get what you give.

Heard talk that Reed could end up with either the Bengals or the Jets.

So we may see him again within a month. And either game would be at HEINZ FIELD. Uh oh.

The Bengals signed Aaron Pettrey (another Buckeye) to replace Nugent.

You're fighting a losing battle. I clicked on the links expecting to find something worth bitching about....lol....not one. Dude must be frying brain cells at a rapid rate.

I'm HOPING Pittsburgh bounces back. I don't want another snowball effect type slide like last year. I think they get the W. 31-17.

As long as they stop the run they should be able to get pressure on Campbell.

He's not like a Brady where he's a quick decision maker based on the defensive alignment. In the past Campbell has held the ball too long.

Getting Keisel back would be big in trying to stop the run to make the Raiders one dimensional.

I know. And he also conveniently left out/ignored these other posts by me on the in-game thread the other day.......
Valiant effort by the Brownies today.
I'm definitely impressed with Cleveland. They're playing extremely well.
