No shit? Someone getting physical with Lebron and the "King's" testicles shriveling up inside him, settling for outside jumpers? Nah, can't be.... -

After this game I do not see how people can deny it. I mean he is suppose to be the greatest basketball player in the world, a 2 time defending MVP of the regular season and in a huge game for the Heat he only takes 2 shots (both 3's) in the last 12 minutes that he played in a close game. The 2nd shot he took was not until the final horn sounded.BR1986FB;699140 wrote:No shit? I would not consider Quentin Richardson a shut down defender or even a good defender and he has never been on an All defensive team, yet even he KNEW that Lebron does not like to "bullied" on the court and he completely took Lebron out of the game in the 4th quarter. -
thedynasty1998Up to a certain point in the season I think you can just say, it's just another meaningless regular season game. But I think that point has passed. The Heat need to start to worry about their play down the stretch of games and their level of play against the elite teams in the NBA. On the surface, you would think they are set up nicely to finish games in the fourth quarter, but it just isn't happening.
They better hope Bibby makes a difference quick, or we might end up seeing Riley after all. -

I do not see Bibby making much difference at all and definitely do not see Riley taking over this late in the season. Next year, thats a different conversation.thedynasty1998;699162 wrote:Up to a certain point in the season I think you can just say, it's just another meaningless regular season game. Bibby is going to magically grow to 7 ft tall to defend the paint, nor is he going to make LBJ/Bosh physically tough. -

I think Bibby is an upgrade over Chalmers, not because he's can run the PG position better, but because he can shoot the ball. Whether people agree or disagree on Lebron being a physical player, the fact is that Miami is a jump shooting team late in games with Bibby, Miller and Bosh.
Obviously Miami will get into the playoffs, but I think they really need to hold onto the #2 spot, because as things are right now they would be playing Philadelphia. However, the #3 seed is Chicago and they would be playing the Knicks in the 1st round. No one wants to play the Knicks in the first round. -
Skyhook79Bibby 43% FG 38% on 3's
Chalmers 41% Fg 35% on 3's
Bibby old- Chalmers still very young room to improve.
IDK not much of an upgrade if any. -
bases_loadedRondo will abuse Bibby

lhslep134Skyhook- Q Rich played amazing defense on Lebron the last few minutes of the game, not allowing him to get anywhere near the paint. I would credit Q Rich with one of the major reasons Orlando won (denying Lebron 4th quarter scoring).

No he won't. They said last night they told Bobby he won't be asked to guard the quicker pg's. -
thedynasty1998Didn't realize Chalmers shot such a respectable percentage from 3. I would still think Bibby is an upgrade though.

BR1986FBThe ONLY time Bibby COULD make a difference is if Lebron is out of the game. I think, by now, it's pretty common knowledge that Bron Bron isn't a happy camper unless he has the ball in his hands. Bibby can't be quarterbacking the Heat's offense if the ball is in Lebron's hands.

And THAT'S why I made my earlier statement that I got ridiculed for about Lebron NOT liking physical contact. It was pretty obvious whenever they played Boston. Now, hopefully, other teams are figuring it out. I also think that besides not liking getting banged on, he may also realize that he's kind of a choke artist at the free throw line in clutch situations. -

I think by now, it's pretty common knowledge that Bibby won't ever be quarterbacking the Heat's offense. That's not what he'll ever be asked to do, so not sure what your point is. -

Not sure what my point is? He's a point guard, correct? Point guards are supposed to be the quarterbacks/distributors of the ball/offense. Unless Bibby is doing this WHY IN THE BLUE HELL would you even have him on the floor? To stand around and watch Lebron kill ants at the top of the key like both the Cavs & Heat have "enjoyed" doing? -
jpake1Believe it or not guys, but I called the loss at halftime. Orlando did the same thing last game, just fell short by 3 pts. I love these losses, to be honest. I don't want this lbj team becoming like the cavs-- awesome team in the regular season that gets cocky but doesn't really face adversity, then get smacked around in the playoffs and it be shocking. They feel entitled, which isn't new for an lbj team. Guess what boys... your aren't as good as you think, and you'll be the last to know. With each mega loss I'm hoping it gets through their think skulls that they need urgency. Wade is a liar, they don't have urgency. What's been common in their 15 losses within 5 pts? Wade and lbj coast. It needs to change, fast. Lbj needs to be off the ball bc he ain't doing shit with it. Let wade try to be the crunch time closer lbj has rarely been. Its not really x's and o's, its attitude. Maybe lebron's never known how to win in a mans league. Maybe wade has just forgotten over the years. Maybe their not teammates of greatness. Maybe they're merely just witnesses... witnesses of their own demise.

Don't be so simple minded. Lebron is the QB/distributor of the offense, just as Magic Johnson was and just as Michael Jordan was. No, I'm not even trying to compare the 3, but just because someone is listed as a PG doesn't mean they have to facilitate things.
They will have Bibby on the floor to shoot the ball.
It's really not that difficult to comprehend. -

YOU are calling ME "simple minded?" Look up the definition of "point guard."thedynasty1998;699210 wrote:Don't be so simple minded. No, I'll help you....
Point guard (PG), also called the play maker or "the ball-handler", is one of the standard positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position – essentially, they are expected to run the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right players at the right time. Above all, the point guard must totally understand and accept his or her coach's game plan; in this way, the position can be compared to a quarterback in American football. -

Good post!
They do feel entitled and I think it's easy to say they are coasting and don't have a sense of urgency, and for their sake, I hope that's true. I think it might be more than that. I was never a fan of Wade and Lebron teaming up, because they don't compliment each other, so they need to find a way to make it work. And the more close games they lose before figuring it out, the more difficult it will be.
Do they need to panic? Probably not. But as I said, they better hold onto the #2 seed in the playoffs and hope they can figure things out down the stretch.
At some point I keep thinking overall ability will take over and they will start to make plays, but it's not happening. -

Wow. You really don't understand basketball do you? Maybe it will be simpler for you to understand if you just start of thinking of Lebron as the PG and Bibby as the SG. Guess that's the easiest way to explain it to you. -
Pick6Almost forgot..FUCK THE HEAT.
How the hell do you blow a 24 point lead to the Magic midway through the 3rd quarter??? Championship teams don't do that. Why the fuck is Chris Bosh shooting the biggest shot of the game???? Why is Lebron shooting again? 3s arent his game. I think the Heat have beaten ONE of the elite teams in the NBA this season, that being the Lakers on Christmas.
