Why would they meet without him?
To discuss plan B because they know Lebron is staying in Cleveland. -

I can't keep track of what you say anymore. You are all over the place. -

This was after the Knicks felt like Amare was a done deal. Sounds like the Knicks sent a couple guys that are low on the totem pole to talk with Maverick Carter. Bron and his "team" didnt request the meeting, it was requested by NY . Carter just granted them the other meeting. -

You would think they have to bring something else in for everything to pan out well.
I understand gibby isn't always credible, but some of you simply discount what he thinks because he likes Florida and talks shit about OSU.
Instead of flipping a shit automatically simply because he's a sheep for a college team that is different than the one you are a sheep for, read his posts. Every once in a while some of them do make sense, I swear.
Agreed 100%. A few of the Cavalier fans on here are among the blindest and most close-minded people on the board. However gibby's material over the past 2 days has been mostly drivel and to me suggests that he is just trying to tick them off.
Seriously who honestly thinks that signing Lebron James is a failure if they don't sign D-wade too? -
KR1245Marc Spears of Yahoo:
Y! Sports confirmed @FisolaNYDN report Knicks had 2nd meeting w/LeBron's reps Sat. Meeting was primarily for detailed contract explanation -

Although, I think signing Lebron makes it a successful summer, I will still be disappointed if nothing else happens. They have no center on the roster right now and they apparently aren't a championship caliber team. -
sleeperI think disappointed is a better word than failure. It's clear the Cavs don't have all the pieces to win a championship, but when you have the best player in the game, maybe the best player in NBA history, it won't take much more to make the Cavs a dynasty.

Right now, THIS is all that matters. After that, the chips should fall in place. -

Give me Varejao at the 5 and Hickson at the 4 every single time and I'd be happy. They played much better without Shaq's big butt clogging the lane. They can get a bargain bin free agent for the 5 here soon. They'll be fine -

True, but come playoff time, who bangs against the Howards and Bynums of the world? Same situation we were in in 2009. -

I agree. I think they will still make a move for a bigman. Like BR said...... the only thing that matters right now is getting Lebron to return. -

Knicks met with LeBron's agent Sat. in CLE to make new pitch with Amar'e in fold. LeBron wasn't there, had dinner w/ friends in Akron. -

Funny, a poster on RCF's said he was partying with friends on W 6th last night. Maybe later in the evening. -
gibby08Would A'mare be enough to sway him to go to New York?

wes_mantoothI know we are accused of being pompous ass fans, but take a gander at these Knick fans....

wes_mantoothYeah they are...lol. Those guys on that board even make me look half way intelligent....and that is saying something...lol

gibby08Pretty sure I saw a guy who is a Knicks blogger on there that said things are looking "really good" for the Knicks
Most likely talking about A'mare, but could be talking about both -
gibby08Reading an article on there that is floating around rumors of a double sign-and-trade that would send David Lee to Toronto and Bosh to New York

It was about both. He claims the "Lebron Knick era is near" -
gibby08Multiple sources: Grunwald and O'mally (Knicks money managers) met with Leon Rose and Maverick Carter late Saturday night (after Amare committed). According to Tommy D, right now O'mally is flying back to cleveland to meet them again. Maverick Carter and possibly LeBron are coming to NYC Wednesday. LeBron will make no announcement until Wednesday when his basketball camp for kids ends in Cleveland (people are speculating that he doesn't want to upset the kids at the camp, but are asking "why would he wait until after the camp unless he was planning to leave Cleveland?").
Tommy D is a big-time sports talk guy in NYC
ESPNews also just said that the national media is "severely" underestimating the New York Knicks -
wes_mantoothI love the NY media....they are always interesting...I will give them that.

Wes..would it suprise you if they were coming back?? Just asking your opinion -

At this point, I wouldn't be surprised on what Lebron does....no matter what it is. I just think the NY media is a complete joke. My take on thing are....if Lebron can talk Bosh into going somewhere(no matter where), he should go....it is all about championships. I just hope that it is Cleveland. I think that the Knicks with Lebron and Amare...are still not a championship team.
