How many rings did Jordan win when he was dominating the league in his early years before Pippen?BR1986FB;381770 wrote:But he's the "greatest player on the planet." Shouldn't matter. Didn't seem to bother Jordan when he needed to rise to a different level and carry his team.
Need help? Zero. Oh wait, I remember this one time when Jordan had Pippen and still didn't win a ring. Then I remember these other times when the league said hey, we can't suspend you because of bad press but go play baseball and stop gambling Mike--and then Pippen led the Bulls to 55 wins and a few other guys on that team made the All Star game.
Name me one guy LeBron has played with that would make a revised 50 Greatest list--and don't be a smartass and say Shaq. Name the guys who have made the All Star game during LeBron's tenure. One list has no names, the other list is fucking short. -
SQ_Crazies27, 19 and 10 isn't elevating your game...

wes_mantoothThis pissing match is awesome and you can take that to the bank.
-
SQ_CraziesYou can elevate your game but your teammates still have to do your part. It isn't about making up for your teammates, it's about making up the difference between your teammates and the other team when your opponent is lighting it up.

I agree. It's been a while since we have had one this good.wes_mantooth;381788 wrote:This pissing match is awesome and you can take that to the bank. -

The rebounds and the assists are but the 38% shooting and 9 turnovers aren't. -
sleeper80 posts in, still waiting for someone to address where the closer, the black mamba, the MVP was last night with his 1-5 shooting with 2 turnovers in crunch time...

Didn't seem to bother Jordan he had another top 50 player all time in Pippen and one of the best 3 point shooters of all time (Kerr). And don't forget Dennis Rodman, who was a terrific player in his own right.
Lebron has NONE of those. -
hasbeenI thought one of Lebron's things is to make everyone around him better?
"Oh, but he has!"
Apparently not enough. -
SportsAndLady
Who's to say he hasn't? There's a huge difference in making teammates better, and having teammates good enough to win titles.pnhasbeen;381838 wrote:I thought one of Lebron's things is to make everyone around him better?

hasbeenEveryone keeps saying he didn't have the supporting cast. If Jordan never won a title, would you say he didn't have a cast? Would Pippen be considered as good as he is now?

2quik4uonly sq would think 27 19 10 9 is a great game even though u lost, who gives a fuck u lost those stats dont mean jack shit
the only thing that matters is winning -

Not when it take 21 FG attempts and 12 Free throw attempts to score 27.
19 rebs is nice but 6'1" Rondo had 19 boards against the Cavs so its not unheard of.
The game that really mattered was game 5 and Lebron disappeared, went into a shell and didn't do ANYTHING. They could have lost game 6 and still had a game 7 at home if it wasn't for game 5. -

thedynasty1998I don't think anyone is claiming the Cavs have a better supporting cast, other than maybe SQ.
-
mattinctownI just love how when the Cavs were winning 60 games this year, the supporting cast was good enough to win the title. After they lost, everyone is saying the supporting cast cost them a title. Fact is, Lebron laid an egg in game 5 and everyone knows it. If you're the best player in the league, you don't do shit like that. Yeah, he might have had a good game in game 6 (9 turnovers though??), but it doesn't take away from the fact that he disappeared in game 5. Give me Kobe any day of the year, the guy is a winner, and has the fire that Lebron doesn't seem to have, and you can take that to the bank.... SQ, if everyone seems to have an IQ of 60 or below, then take your business elsewhere.

Don't forget the threads that asked if Mo (Mr. No Show) Williams or Anderson( Mr. Flop) Verejao were HOF worthy during the regular season. -

Someone didn't SERIOUSLY start a thread asking if Choke Williams was HOF worthy, did they? -

Yeah Im pretty sure there was a thread about it but I think that chs_redskins kid started it but there were still some Cavs fans that were claiming if he played well enough he could one day make it to the HoF. -

Ugh. Williams ranks right up there with Jhonny Peralta on my "Cleveland's Most Hated" list. Dude's got more mouth than a cows got twat and he doesn't back up the crap he spews (see last year 'guarantees"). -

Haha who else is on that list Carlos Boozer and Jose Mesa? And I've never liked Peralta either. -
