The closer, the black mamba, the MVP...

You're the comedian dude, you should read your posts out loud. You could get famous!

LTrain to Hoops says all season that LeBron is the best player. Now says he isn't bailing on him, after that name change, and then says that Kobe is the best player--but he hasn't bailed on LeBron.........

    MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMK!

I'll go ahead and say I think Lebron is the "best overall talent" (whatever the hell that is supposed to mean) and the "best player." I think his team took a shit of epic proportions in the playoffs. Plus they lost to the Celtics, who seem to be on their way to another ring. So come on it's not like they lost to Toronto in a series.

Get Lebron a self-sufficient post player and it's game over. People have been saying it since 2005 ad nauseum, yet the front office tries out Varajeo (a solid defender), Ilgauskas (terrible these days), and O'Neal (90% terrible these days) and thinks that may just be enough. No, fuck that. Z and Shaq need to retire and bring Bosh's ass in here to win a crown. It's that simple. You wouldn't even need to necessarily trade the Gs on the team, just get one good PF/C and it's over.

    lol!

Where do you come up with this stuff?

And your sanity is gone. In fact, you fit the description of Insane to a "T".

I'm sorry you can't detect the seeds of sarcasm I have planted through this forum regarding Kobe and LeBron.
  • SQ_Crazies
Seeds of sarcasm? LMAO! I'm just connecting the dots...don't backtrack now.
  • Trueblue23
All season LeBron looked like the best player in the game. Now, when it matters most, Kobe looks like the best in the league. One bad game isn't gonna change that.

Trust me, I'm not back tracking. But I'm not going to explain it for you. It's so fucking obvious on the Game 3 thread what I meant about that statement and it still went over your head..

    SMH
  • SQ_Crazies
LOL...that's fucking hilarious. You need to go back to the game 3 thread.

I find it interesting that you have such an incredible desire to get something over my head though. Imitation is the highest form of flattery.

So because I changed my username back to my original name (given how the name was made being a HUGE LeBron fan) means I bailed on LeBron?

Nah. Nice try though. Gotta get better than that. Quite frankly, I think usernames based off of players are stupid as fuck. I never really did like the name and don't know why I didn't sign up here under hoops to begin with.

And there you go being a dumbass again.

LeBron is the BEST OVERALL TALENT

    Kobe is the BEST PLAYER.

LeBron is more worried about the business side of things, like filming a movie in August, becoming a billionaire, etc..

Kobe is 100% focused on winning another ring. I WISH LeBron had the mind set Kobe does, but he doesn't yet.

    Anything else?

There are so many things wrong with this post.

#1, best overall talent but not best player? Based on what? The face that Kobe is still playing? LOL Look, it could simply be Boston's year and the only thing Kobe is better at is waiting til the NBA finals in order to play against them, which of course has nothing to do with conference affiliation.

Lebron is the best player in the NBA, has been for a couple years now, and will be for the next decade, and there's no doubt about that.

#2, Lebron isn't 100% focused on winning but Kobe is? Didn't Kobe have his own movie not too long ago? "Kobe doing work"? And Kobe doesn't want to be a billionaire? I mean all this shit is more useless intangibles that I've been talking about since probably the beginning of the whole "Kobe v Lebron" debate. It's cliched all too hell at this point and is absolutely pathetic that anyone on this forum(save the Kobe nuthuggers) even bring these up anymore.

And for the last time(well, who are we kidding?), Lebron will be a Cav next year, there's no doubt about it.

Yeah, and Lakers fans weren't acting like Lebron's game 5 against Boston defines his entire career.

Please, Lebron is the best when it matters and when it doesn't, let's stop with this crap already.

    It did for Lebron, apparently.
  • Skyhook79
If Lebron was so clutch he would be still playing and not throw up a 3-14 in a crucial game 5 against Boston AT HOME. This series has yet to reach a crucial stage for the Lakers, when it does lets see what happens then you can start a thread like this.
But really anyone (sleeper) who has said in the past that Bill Russell and Magic Johnson are not All-Time NBA Great players shouldn't be discussing or starting threads about the NBA anyways.
  • SQ_Crazies
Oh yeah Skyhook? Because in game 6 he put up 27, 19 and 10. Lost to a better team. C's had 4 of the 5 best players in the series.

Can you imagine what would be said if Kobe put up 27, 19 and 10?

The best part about Kobe fans is if Kobe put up those numbers and lost, they would state something like "Well Kobe is awesome, truly one of the all time greats, it's his team that let him down."

If Kobe puts up terrible stats and wins, "Kobe only cares about winning and did what he needed to do to get the win"

Lebron puts up incredible stats day in, day out so it's hard to compare the two.
  • SQ_Crazies
LeBron says the words "I only care about winning", "winning is all that matters", etc., on national TV, but apparently he's given people reason to believe that what he says is bullshit?
  • GOONx19
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure LTrain changed his name back to hoops23 BEFORE the Cavs lost the series.
  • BR1986FB
Guess the only thing to ask is "where is Lebron right now?" Oh yeah, WATCHING the NBA Finals and where is Kobe?

Guess I'd rather be the "anti-clutch" and PLAYING for a championship than home douching my pussy because I couldn't LEAD MY FUCKING TEAM TO THE FINALS because when the going gets TOUGH, the "untough" worry about the movie they will be making this summer.
  • GOONx19
If the Lakers get beat by the Celtics then I don't give them any more credit for making it to the finals then I give to the Cavs or Magic for their results.

And if Kobe loses this series, then what?

He also said "I am a winner" on National TV as his reasoning for not shaking hands and not showing up for the NBA Mandated post game press conference.

He'll be home TOO but at least he GOT there.

I'm sure right now, most of the elite players (Lebron, DWade, etc) would LOVE to be in Kobe's position right now.

Don't take this as a defense of Kobe because I think he's the scum of the Earth but to rip on him because his team is tied 1-1? He seemed pretty pissed in his postgame interview about the Lakers lack of defense. THAT'S the type of shit I want to see from Lebron, some FIRE! Not some close to the vest politically correct "we didn't get it done" type of comment when deep down inside (IF he has this 'competitive fire' that everyone seems to want to think he has) he wants to take a baseball bat to the back of his teammates' head.

I'm SO sick of all of these "ballers" having to be "boys/buddies." Bring back the time where Larry Bird would prefer to punch Jordan in the mouth versus shaking his hand. Pussies....

To be fair BR, that point really doesn't make much sense. If the Lakers lose the series it means they would've lost to Boston as well. Just because Kobe didn't have to play Boston til round 4 doesn't make it more of an accomplishment than LeBron losing to the same team in round 2. I agree with the second part of your post though about the fire. It would be nice to get on his teammates ass and inspire them during the series rather than saying nothing during and try to blame them after the fact.

So that means Miami is just as good as the Lakers (if the lakers lose the series)because they lost to Boston in the first round??? Really???

    Really?

A couple years ago where was Kobe when Lebron was playing Timmy and the Spurs? Sitting at home. Where was that "Killer instinct"? Where was that "fire"?

Now I'm sure Lebron would rather be playing in the finals rather than sitting at home, but the point remains, you can't have it both ways.

No one is really expecting you to follow anything logical.
