chs_redskinsSo many things to discuss. Will lebron stay or go. Will Mike Brown get fired. Will shaq retire. Discuss.
-
jpake1A bit late to the party huh? These things are being discussed in multiple threads. Nobody is this organized for one thread.
-

I figured my time is better spent with my family than arguing over pointless topics. -
wildcats20Good to hear...and you are absolutely right.
-
Al CaponeLebron leaves and the Cavs go back to the cellar where a Cleveland pro sports team is supposed to be. hahaha. As far as the coach, once Lebron leaves does anybody really care?LOL LOL LOL
-
3reppomLebron stays, Brown finally gets fired, Z retires, Shaq goes elsewhere
-
hoops23Shaq isn't retiring. He said he still wants to play 3 to 4 more years...smh.
-
jpake1Yeah people are crazy if they thought he'd retire, even BEFORE he said that stuff. He played pretty damn well for an old dude this year. He LOVES rings.. he's going to the closest team that will have him. He's a ring groupie now-a-days. Don't blame him though.
-
wildcats20Shaq won't win another ring.
-
hoops23Yeah, he's still got value no doubt.. Too many things blew up on the Cavs though for us to have any real chance.
-
Trueblue23LeBron- New Jersey
Brown - FIRED
Shaq- Lakers
Z- Retire -
BR1986FBLebron- handpicks his "Pippen" and joins Bosh with the Knicks
Mike Brown- lands a gig as Mr Potato Head's stunt double in an upcoming blockbuster flick
Shaq- replaces Officer Dangle on Reno 911
Z- buys the Cavs from Gilbert for pennies on the dollar. -
SQ_CraziesHow hot is Danny Ferry's seat?
-
ytownfootballI wouldn't think Ferry's seat is even warm. For the players that have been available to sign, key word being "available", he's done about all you could ask for imo.
-
SQ_CraziesNot really. In fact, I think most of this hindsight "they aren't as good as we thought" should come back on him. Especially when you consider that all he did for Mike Brown was force him to try and put a square peg in a round hole.
-
ytownfootballIsn't putting round pegs in square holes the coaches job? Just sayin'. If Ferry is guilty of anything, I think it would be keeping Brown longer than he should have. Yeah, I know he won coach of the year but holding LeBrons reigns only lasts so long before the bright lights and early play-off exsists expose you for what you really are, in this case, incapable.
-
SQ_CraziesNot really, the GM is supposed to find players who fit the coaches system. Mo, Jamison, Shaq...nope, none of them do.

Reghi was talking about this on WKNR yesterday kinda defending Mike Brown.SQ_Crazies wrote: Not really. I'm FAR from a Mike Brown fan but he is a DEFENSIVE coach and Ferry brings in Mo Williams, Shaq and Jamison (defensive sieves) and is told "here, get them to play defense."
It's like throwing a lion in a pen of cows and saying "now don't you kill any of these." Those three are strictly OFFENSIVE players. Leopards don't usually change their spots. -
BR1986FB
Problem is, NONE of these guys have really EVER been defensive "forces." If Ferry was the GM of the Suns those moves would probably be brilliant for their system. Not so much for a defensive minded Cavs team.ytownfootball wrote: Isn't putting round pegs in square holes the coaches job? Just sayin'. SQ_CraziesI'm not defending MB, I think he should be fired. But we should consider firing Ferry as well. In hindsight, most of the deals that looked like he won big in, he really didn't. He didn't get plays that fit the system. And if everyone is getting heat for this, there is no reason for Ferry being an exception.
