Game 2-Boston @ Cleveland, Mon. 5/3 8 PM TNT...Cle. up 1-0

  • RedRider1
I think Windhorst said Shaq is 8 of 22 from 5 ft. or less in the post-season.

    That's pathetic.

From 5' in 45% would be bad.

Just watched Browns postgame presser. I have never see him that pissed off before. Hopefully the fellas get the message.

I stated before that this would be a series where JJ should be used more, so we will see.

Last night was pure garbage effort, extremely disappointed in how those guys played last night overall. From LeBron all the way down, they played like fucking shit with no heart or emotion. Everyone gets called out for this game, it wasn't one individual. Hell the coaches even coached like shit trying to use Mo on Rondo once again, wake the fuck up and realize that Mo cannot guard anyone. Try your hardest to hide him and if he isn't hitting his shots for an extended period of time then put in West who plays better overall defense. Everyone played like they didn't want to be there.

They better wake up after that so called effort. This is where LeBron must show us if he is a true leader or not, rally the team together and take Game 3 in Boston or Game 4 is going to be extremely hard to win.

Overall that wasn't the Cavaliers that I knew last night. Disappointed, disgusted, but optimistic that this group can rebound on Thursday.

    Go Cavs.

I didn't get to see the game last night because of work. I was very shocked when I got up update of the score. It's one game, but I wouldn't be confident nor worried. Only reason I saw that is because Boston has been poor at home, but still, they're at home. This will be an absolute dog fight-- something many Cavs fans didn't think would happen all year long.

SQ is one that comes to mind, no one else though.

It isn't going to be a dogfight if the Cavs play like they did last night.....

I have no problem with a loss, but, the effort and stupid play is what pissed me off. Hell, if it wouldn't have been for the officiating, that game would have been over at halftime.

I only saw highlights. I can't believe some of the plays from LBJ. That must have been an alien, or Sam Cassell, in LBJ's body last night.

    Agreed.

I don't want to be called a homer, but that shit last night had to be an anomaly imo. Shouldn't happen again.

I know. I can see just not having a good shooting night, but last night was just completely inefficient. Which LBJ is the complete opposite of 98% of the time. He still scored some good points, but it left you with that Monta Ellis feeling.. even though you got a lot, you feel like you didn't for some reason.

exaclty I almost turned it off I was so upset. No one could get free for an open shot and they were just out of sync. I forgive them for this one but now they are going to need to grind it out. A win in Boston is a must.

Someone please take out Rasheed. I hate that guy and I am beginning to think the same thing about Perkins.

Short of reading this whole thread is Andy V OK? I know they said back spasm's but I was wondering if it was that or something else.

    Go Cavs
  • devil1197
Andy has been hurt for awhile now, Windy talked about it during the Chicago series. Its something that he must play through.

Lebron's elbo looks fine (probably because he's covering it with the band) but he doesn't look the same.

He was fine in Game 1, typical LeBron performance.

Everyone was just off last night.

For the people making the claims about deja vu regarding the Orlando series last year, Windy put it perfectly..

Against Orlando, last season we played nearly flawless, but were still treading water with the Magic..

Against the Celtics this series, we've played two of our worst games but we're tied 1-1.. There in lies the difference.
  • thedynasty1998
The Cavs played flawless last year against Orlando?
  • jpake1
You guys played near flawless against Orlando? That might be the biggest bullshit I've read on here in awhile. How many times did they stop being aggressive and playing defense and allow Orlando to not only cut into 10+ point leads, but take a few point lead themselves in a matter of a quarter? It happened in a few games. Let's not even talk about Mo going cold as well as some other guys. At times, they played FAR from nearly flawless.

You guys played your worst game this year last night, and lost. The night before, the 2nd half you looked great. They play 48mins for a reason. Just as bad as they look in the first half, Boston looked worse in the 2nd.

Lebron looked lethargic and uninspired which is disappointing, but he's still the best player in the game and maybe the best player of all time. He'll get it figured out, Cavs in 5.

Considering it was Windhorst who said it, and not someone on here, I'd take his words as much more valuable.

I love Windy, but him saying the Cavs played near flawless is just silly. Mo Williams was god awful, Mike Brown never adjusted and the bench was terrible.

Hb, I know you corrected yourself when you saw the replay.

But I just wanted to post this, because it was sad to me how many people screamed travel--Reggie Miller included. This is basic basketball, and I mean BASIC. Like 3rd grade shit. Glad the refs recognized it at least. But I was completely baffled at how many people who claim to have great basketball minds wanted to scream travel. Too many people try to parade around like they have a LeBron-like basketball IQ, it's hilarious.
  • Big Red Monster
LeBron did not look interested at all last night.

I bet they were saying travel because his jump stop was so high

Yeah no way that was a travel, it was just a great move by LeBoob.

45% in and of itself is not really all that bad. Where the pr5oblem comes in, due to spacing, there is no second chance offensive rebounds when Shaq shoots. So the percentage play of having a successful possession becomes even worse.

Adding to the equation is the slow down in tempo which I think is a negative.

All in all.... would rather have Z out there than Shaq. At least Z adds a different dimension. Both players have greatly diminshed skills.

I don't care who said it, because it was a stupid comment. That was competitive basketball, not nearly flawless.
