Game 2-Boston @ Cleveland, Mon. 5/3 8 PM TNT...Cle. up 1-0

ytownfootballGame 2
Boston has to feel pretty shitty having played so well in the first half only to allow the Cavs to dominate the second, and particularly be outscored by 12 in the third to lose the lead.
Go down 2-0 and it could be curtains for the C's. -
devil1197I expect Boston to come out with the same intensity as Game 1. But unfortunately for Boston, they cannot sustain that same intensity over 4 quarters as their legs get tired. Example is Pierce who lit up the first quarter, but as the game wore on he didn't have the legs to make his jumpers.

ytownfootballAs much as Doc says he doesn't care if they get into foul trouble, I think they need to play more under control. Their bench cannot matchup with the Cavs bench and their starters need to play as many minutes as possible in order to have a shot IMO.
Of course they do get worn out in doing so, but it's their best shot, without Sheed stepping up and others. -

Exactly. The Celts cannot expect anything from their bench, which is going to kill them the deeper we get into this series. Last night Pierce, Garnett, Allen, and Rondo(which is not as big a deal) all played over 38 minutes. That's just too many for them to be able to keep up the same intensity over the course of the game. It really showed with Pierce and KG late in the game. So if the Celts bench doesn't step up, it's going to be a short series.ytownfootball wrote: As much as Doc says he doesn't care if they get into foul trouble, I think they need to play more under control. Laley23Cavs come out better this game and roll. They wont let Boston hang around like they did last night.
In Boston will be a different story, but in Cleveland, for game 2, I dont think itll be close. -
osu99let's go Cavs!

Trueblue23Cavs will blow Boston out in this one.

Mr. 300Would like to see the Cavs push it up and down the court from the opening tip. The C's will be dragging in the 2nd quarter if the do this.

Glory Daysi predict the team who scores more points will win this game. dont worry about taking that to the bank, you can bury that one in the back yard in a coffee can.

sleeperI love when Lebron just gets that look in his face that he's going to win this game. No matter what, the Cavs are going to win, it's fun to watch, and I expect this game to be the same formula...
Keep it relatively close throughout the 1st 3 quarters then give the ball to Lebron in the 4th, and just let him win it for you. -
hoops23LeBron will be showing off his new MVP trophy at the Q.. The crowd will be even more fired up and the Cavs jump out big.

This is the most overused argument in basketball. Pierce missed shots, and it wasn't because he didn't have the legs.devil1197 wrote: I expect Boston to come out with the same intensity as Game 1. But IMO when Pierce came out hot in the 1st quarter, it was because he was fresh. But having to guard LeBron for 4 quarters while also trying to carry a majority of the offensive load will have negative impacts on older players like Pierce in the later parts of the game. -

pretty much.vdubb96 wrote: Contain Rondo and this series is over in 4.
We don't have quick enough guards to do that, but I still think it gets done in 5 games.
