All they said is that they are still listening to offers, those are the only reports out there.BR1986FB wrote:

Art II will add to Goodell's penalty...because the Rooneys know that they will lose a portion of their fan base...in particular...the female fan base. #2, don't kid yourself....there are a boatload of people that will never where that #7 again. They may still love the Steelers, but many of them can't stomach that type of behavior.rock_knutne wrote:
First off, the Rooneys said they will accept what ever Goodell hands down. Secondly, people will wear their #7 jersey's again as soon as he steps on the field and starts winning football games again. And finally, he countered sued that gold digger out in Nevada.Footwedge wrote: Plenty of people in Pittsbugh that will no longer wear a black and gold #7 jersey anymore. My thinking is that Art II will add onto the punishment dished out by the league.
The fact is...he is still fighting litigation on a civil suit out west for basically the same thing. How in the fuck can he put himself into another he-said she-said situation?
The guy is a fuggin idiot.
As for that "gold digger" out west....Roethlesberger's has lost any and all credibility on how he treats women. I bet there are tens of thousands of Steeler fans that want him the fuck out of Pittsburgh. -
LJBouchette is on ESPN right now....
says Steelers are NOT shopping, just listening, doesn't think they will trade him. -
miller45452003
NO..espn said they WANT a top 10. To me it's quite evident....he's gone...to Oakland more than likely.LJ wrote:

Well then him and Mort are reporting conflicting stories. Mort said "Pittsburgh is wanting a top 10 pick in return"....LJ wrote: Bouchette is on ESPN right now....

No, Bouchette said they are merely listening.miller45452003 wrote:

FootwedgeBen's value is now in the shitter. A number 1? NFW. No GM is gonna want to deal with this political nightmare.

doesn't mean they aren't saying "we will only listen if you are starting your offer with a top 10 pick"miller45452003 wrote:

I have heard there might be an interest in sending him to Oakland as more "punishment" and, no, that's not a joke.miller45452003 wrote:

miller45452003from Schefters twitter:
Adam_Schefter Pittsburgh has begun contacting teams to trade Ben Roethlisberger for a top 10 pick. At least one team considering it. Story far from done.
Pretty eveident he's could be gone -
LJ
And Bouchette said live that they are only listening. I dunno why we have to keep repeating ourselves here? No one knows until something is said or done.miller45452003 wrote: from Schefters twitter:

It could merely be a matter that the Steelers are only listening to offers that include a top 10 pick. -
thavoicewhta does he have left....5 years on his deal?
Wouldnt be a bad trade for someone to GET him....but terrible for the steelers to get rid of him
Dont look for the steelers to dismiss the talks of trading him...they wanna give the perception to the team that no one is a sacred cow and that everyone can be traded and released when they fuck up.
They dont wanna trade him. They wont trade him..but they want the players to think that thtey will. -
LJ
If that happened I would probably LOL. Douchebag or not, I still think it's stupid to trade Ben.BR1986FB wrote:

queencitybuckeyeThere's only one franchise QB with first-round value and he's going #1 - what good is a top-10 pick unless they think Dixon is the answer?
-
LJ
No one. I think trading Roethlisberger to keep an "image" is stupid.queencitybuckeye wrote: There's only one franchise QB with first-round value and he's going #1 - what good is a top-10 pick unless they think Dixon is the answer? -

I'd consider Vick's more like 2+ years. He was suspended then reinstated.rock_knutne wrote: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5121614
4 to 6 games is a little harsh IMO. Vick, who was convicted and did time, got 6 games and it was reduced to 2 with good behavior and following through with any stipulations the league mandated. I thinking the same happens to Ben, he follows through with what ever counciling he has to do and it will be reduced to 2 games. -
justincredible
That would definitely get some LAWLZ.BR1986FB wrote: I have heard there might be an interest in sending him to Oakland as more "punishment" and, no, that's not a joke. -
SonofanumpConsider the evidence for criminal and civil judgments have a different burden of proof.

Prescott
Absolutely. Proven QB talents like Roethlisberger are difficult to find. The Steelers may lose some female fans if they keep him, but they will lose a lot of male fans if they don't. The NFL is all about winning and the Steelers won't win without Roethlisberger. No one. I think trading Roethlisberger to keep an "image" is stupid. -
dat dudeI would be shocked if he were traded. Imagine the tailspin the franchise would take, all in the name of "moral values."

NonPro Football Talk reports that Goodell says ESPN has jumped the gun and that the suspension is not official.

This thread actually serves a purpose relaying breaking news. The garbage you guys start is well, exactly that garbage. -
Emmett BrownHey if the Steelers trade Big Ben away there is a franchise QB in Baltimore for a Fifth round draft pick.
-
Con_AlmaAren't there conditions available to Roethlisberger which will reduce the suspension?
