    Busy night tonight:

Coyotes at Red Wings, 6:30pm (Phx leads 2-1)
Pens at Sens, 7pm (Pitt leads 2-1)
Devils at Flyers, 7:30pm (Philly leads 2-1)

    I'll go with:

    Detroit
    Pittsburgh
    New Jersey
    Chicago
San Jose (but there will be some fluke that makes it stupid close)
  • End of Line
    I'll go with:

    Phoenix
    Pittsburgh
    Philly
    Chicago
    Avs

Final score, Philly beats NJ 4-1 to take a commanding 3-1 lead in the series.

I am a Philly fan (for this series ONLY)

Chicago is playing like crap tonight. Down 3-1 end of the 2nd period.

Nashville is playing Nashville hockey. Smothering D, good goalie play, and capitalizing on their chances. Trotz is way underrated as a coach.

Detroit has put themselves back in contention but it seems that every time they do, they give the very next game away. Can the Wings take control and win game 5 on the road and come home and clinch? I think that their luck is about to run out. I think if they lose in Phoenix in Game five, they're done.

^^ If they play like they did last night for 2 more games, the Coyotes are toast. Phoenix could generate nothing offensively and lacked any physical element to their game with Doan gone. Wings still turned it over too much in the neutral zone but even with that, Phoenix had very few good chances. Wings can steal one in the desert and come home to clinch, hopefully.

    Tonight's slate:

Sabres at Bruins (B's lead 2-1)
Caps at Habs (Caps lead 2-1)
Canucks at Kings (Kings lead 2-1)

Chance for a couple home team underdogs to put the favorites on the ropes, while Washington will be out to prove they're on a huge roll since the third period of game 2.

If Boston wins tonight it's looking really good for a Bruins-Pens second round series; sounds like Savard would be back for it, too. Talk about emotions.
  • End of Line
^^^^If Boston meets the Pens in the 2nd round there will be very good matchups at center. Considering that Boston is the only team that might have the depth at center that Pittsburgh has.

Caps got a couple empty neters and Habs got 1 late to make the final 6-3. Caps lead 3-1 in the series

Bruins and Sabers are going into their second OT tied at 2 in an awesome, awesome game. There was a 10 minute stretch in the OT where it was back and forth, no stoppage. There was a near short handed goal, a hit to a post, a fantastic save my Ryan Miller, and other awesome plays.

Canucks and Kings halfway through 1, scoreless.

14:51 left in 2nd OT. Great back and forth. Miller got a shot high and looks hurt, but still trucking on.

Boston on a PP, heads up in the zone, Satan gets a good shot and wins it.
Take a 3-1 lead, huge upset over the favored Sabers.

    Awesome game
  • End of Line
The Vanek injury is hurting the Sabres bad right now.
  • ptown_trojans_1
True, very true. But, Boston is also clicking on all cylinders.
Kings and Canucks are tied at 3, 9:38 to go. Pretty good game.
  • ptown_trojans_1
Canucks get a score, end of PP, then Kings come right back to tie it at 4. This Kings team is fun to watch.
    6:42 left.

    Great pace to this game.

    Vancouver won, 6-4

    Four games tonight:

Flyers @ Devils, 7pm (Flyers lead 3-1). Both Carter and Gagne are out tonight, giving New Jersey much better odds to stay alive for at least one more game. I wouldn't be surprised if they take it at home and we head back to Philly 3-2.

Sens @ Pens, 7pm (Pens lead 3-1). Ottawa has basically mailed it in after taking game 1. Brian Elliot is NOT a playoff caliber goaltender, and Pittsburgh proves it again tonight. Series over.

Blackhawks @ Predators, 8:30pm (Preds lead 2-1). Surprise, surprise, the Blackhawks can't score and their goaltending is suspect. Not a great start for a team many considered to be serious contenders for the Cup. I think they'll score more than one tonight, but will it be enough? I say yes. A Hawks desperation win sends us back to the Windy City at 2-2.

Avs @ Sharks, 10:30pm (Tied 2-2). One of the better first-round series, we're back to the Shark tank for the ever-important game five in the tied series. It has been close all the way (with a few strange happenings, eh Dan Boyle?) but at home, I like San Jose to grab their first lead of the series and move one step closer to avoiding total disaster.

Hossa, Toews, Kane and Sharp better show up for the Hawks, or this series is over for them if they lose tonight.

Flyers are on the verge of knocking off the number 2 seed in the East. They are up 3-0 late in the 2nd.

Sens up 2-1, near end of 2nd.

Hawks and Preds just about to drop the puck.
  • rock_knutne
Pens/Sens tied at 2 a piece after two periods.
