    2. New Jersey vs. 7. Philly

    WEST:

This is my take on each series:

    CAPS vs MTL:
I see the caps winning this one in 6. Montreal was pretty decent all year but, they've floated towards the playoffs so far. The Caps are way to good offensively and Jose Theodore has played out this world for the past 23 games (20-0-3). Lets not forget that he won the Hart trophy while playing for MTL. MTL's FA signings have proved to be pretty damn good with Cammaleri playing great for them and the emergance of Jaroslav Halak. If there is anyway MTL upsets the Caps it will be because of Halak.

    NJ vs PHI:
The Devils take this are run with it. JL has Hovy playing a pretty good 2way game and the team is full of experience and having Marty in net will propel them to the next round. NJ in 5

    BUF vs. BOS:
Boston has been great as of late and they won the season series against Buffalo 4-2. But Buffalo do have the best goalie in the world in Ryan Miller and I see this series being very low scoring. Boston in 6.

    PIT vs. OTT:
Well here we are my team against a very sound team w/o Kovalev. Crosby will carry this team like he has all season to win in 7 games. Ottawa does have some great depth and the most expesive 4th line in the NHL. Alfy will lead this team to force a 7th game but, MAF will decide to show up for once.

Those are solid picks, but I think Boston will win in 6. I hope you are correct with the others. Should be a great playoff.

East = No one will touch Washington. The Eastern Conference is weak this year. The 8 seed in the West (Colorado) is better than 5th seed in the East (Ottawa).

West = I like Chicago to come out of the West over San Jose and Detroit.

I still don't think San Jose or Chicago can beat Detroit four times in a seven game series.

    Detroit takes the west again.

Washington beats Pittsburgh in a good series, either 4-2 or 4-3

    Then Washington over New Jersey.

What's the deal with the American networks ignoring the Devils/Flyers series?

The Wings to continue as the hottest team in the NHL. Who can beat them? Upset! Nashville in 6 over the Hawks. Caps and Wings in the finals. Wings will stop the BIG O!

Nothing makes me happier than playing Philly in the first round. I hate the Flyers so much, I only wish Lindros was still around so we could knock him the fuck out again, and again, and again.

^^^^^The Flyers do have the upperhand on the Devils. They went 5-1 against them during the regular season.

We'll see what happens once the real season starts.

Appears to be more of the same, haha. Philly up 2-0 late in the 3rd.

Lol, Holmestrom just scored from about 50 feet. I think that equals the distance of all his goals this year.
  • wildcats20
    Wings 2-1 after 1.
  • wildcats20
Wings don't show up at all in the 3rd and lose 3-2.

Talk about bandwagon fans, there wasn't even an in-game thread.
