At least St Louis isn't in Ohio

    There is still real racism in the world. If your goal is to help get rid of it, assuming racism and having to change facts multiple times to fit that assumption does nothing but hurt your cause.

    Racism absolutely exists and in my opinion it will NEVER go away. Even if you get to the point where "real" racism is eliminated, minorities have an incentive to keep up with perceived racism so they can maintain certain benefits established for them(affirmative action, quotas, anti-discrimination laws, "diversity", hate crimes, etc.).

    I think we should go ahead and pay all the blacks the reparations they want and call it a day. Then all these problems will go away.

    Is the goal here to perpetuate racism rather than end it?....because that is certainly what is happening. We've had 50 years of legislated civil rights, education in the classroom, and judicial support.....most of all the "Old racists" have died off and left positions of power....yet we still fight the same battles, only the circumstances change.
    I would submit to you that racism still exists because it's advantagious for the "victims" to perpetuate it. It is so much easier to blame someone else for your plight....white people, the "system", police.....pick your next oppressor. And it won't end until the enablers and the syncophants claiming to represent the best interests of minorities are discredited.

    That's not going to happen soon, because the media serves the narrative....
    Consider that nowhere have we heard or seen any major player or the media talk about the "victims" responsibilty/culpability in their own deaths.

    I agree with this. If it were 25-45 year old Asians or 50 year old whites committing crimes they'd be profiling them too. Profiling isn't random, events of certain demographics lead to it.

    Perhaps that, and you have had to use the gun in multiple crimes before being stupid enough to use it against someone capable of fighting back.

    agreed. Probably done this many times just like I am sure it wasn't Michael Browns first strong arm convienence store robbery before he got shot. Jut like it wasn't the first fight that Trayvon started for no ggod reason or the first time Eric Gardner sold loosy cigs

    Yes, we do have a problem in America and it is with raising our young black men to be respectful and responsible — there is a reason why we have a Ray Rice or an Adrian Peterson — it starts early. We have a problem with media sensationalism and truth. We have a problem with the respect of the rule of law. We have a problem with regard for our law enforcement officers. We have a problem with victimization and the politics of race and the advancement of a “by any means necessary” skewed vision of justice.

    ...and yet such universal common sense is ignored. ( just substitute "Kids" for "black men").....Worse, West is villified, ostracised, marginalized by those and their media supporters because he doesn't support the approved narrative.
    Yet this is exactly what people in leadership positions should be advocating...denouncing vigilante mob mentality, denouncing the robbery, the illegal actions, that brought this about....refusing to martyr criminals that contributed to their own demise....while at the same time commiting themselves to personally see that justice was done and that correct procedures were followed, and then issuing a fair an accurate accounting, WITHOUT AGENDA.

    Cuz they only care about their own kind. A teacher at a college wrote "all lives matter" and had to apologize for taking focus away from the black plight.

    Also, if people violently protested and chanted white lives mattered, you California freaks would be up in arms.

    Racism gets thrown around for the most minute of things, so in 2014's definition of the word I think this fits.

    And even if it doesn't, going around violently protesting isn't going to get anyone on your side. And with a slogan of black lives matter, they are only furthering the divide.
