  I fully support mandatory sentences for all drug related crimes taking away any discretion from all judges to solve this perceived problem. In fact, I'd like to see the maximum penalty be made the mandatory.
  
  Heck, I'd support across the board for all violent crimes too. That doesn't mean I'm willing to break the law in an effort to get it changed, however.

  I personally don't blame "everything on that" and would be happy to listen and try and understand any other problem that exist. IN the end, people of any race not having their sh1t together doesn't make it acceptable to not respect the laws they don't agree with. When they don't it opens the door for the rest of society to not respect the laws that the people who don't have their sh1t together want to have in place.

  And that's the problem. Everyone feels they should have to do whatever the cops want so you don't get killed.

  That's a false narrative. You comply with the police to help them serve us better. There job is to protect us from lawbreakers and in doing that their life is always on the line. You don't know what is going down around you. They may be on the lookout for an armed criminal. They have to go into rough neighborhoods. And you can be sure that they want to go home at the end of the day and see their families just like any other law abiding citizen wants to do.
  Are their bad cops, sure. Are some racist? sure. But mostly there are an awful lot of good cops too. Assume that the guy stopping you is a good guy doing his job. If he abuses you...FILE A COMPLAINT...afterward.
  
  In any situation that involves a firearm, the first thing you try to do is defuse the situation. You NEVER provoke a man with a gun whether it be a criminal or a cop....and that has nothing to do with race.
  
  
  
  ...and you still didn't answer the question I asked. Is there ever a good reason NOT to comply with police requests/orders? If NO then why is that message not being put out there? If yes, then tell me what the circumstances are that you are allowed to provoke a police officer.
