It's solid entertainment for me. I don't take the site too seriously, but lol at saying i get butt hurt. Just like the other posters who get butt hurt over what anonymous people say to them, leading to them to quit the site .ZWICK 4 PREZ;1680011 wrote:No one is forcing you to post here either. You know you're part of the problem and people have pointed it out to you before and you got butthurt about it. I see nothing has changed

blind compliance doesn't help police serve us better. Blind compliance shifts more power to them and away from us.HitsRus;1680003 wrote:That's a false narrative. You comply with the police to help them serve us better. There job is to protect us from lawbreakers and in doing that their life is always on the line. You don't know what is going down around you. They may be on the lookout for an armed criminal. They have to go into rough neighborhoods. And you can be sure that they want to go home at the end of the day and see their families just like any other law abiding citizen wants to do.
Are their bad cops, sure. Are some racist? sure. But mostly there are an awful lot of good cops too. Assume that the guy stopping you is a good guy doing his job. If he abuses you...FILE A COMPLAINT...afterward.
In any situation that involves a firearm, the first thing you try to do is defuse the situation. You NEVER provoke a man with a gun whether it be a criminal or a cop....and that has nothing to do with race.
...and you still didn't answer the question I asked. Is there ever a good reason NOT to comply with police requests/orders? If NO then why is that message not being put out there? If yes, then tell me what the circumstances are that you are allowed to provoke a police officer.
I don't think most cops are bad. I think the system in place is bad and reform is needed. I think you need strict protocol in place that demands restraint. If there's leeway, like there is, more people will be killed without weapons and were forced to rely on the cops testimony of what happened. Cops develop prejudices just like any human. It's easy for these prejudices to take over in emotional situations when you leave a cop with leeway to take over a situation how he sees fit.
i think more procedures are needed in place. I can tell most people don't. I think most people don't bc it never affects them. And I know in not going to change anyones mind. -

Who has been arrested for being black? Can you give an example to show that you aren't just making it up?ZWICK 4 PREZ;1680015 wrote:Re-read your question to me.. "What problems are you crying about that don't start with people breaking the law"

If profiling is occurring, it is wrong and the officer should be dealt with appropriately. I doubt it occurs very often, and there is usually probable cause.ZWICK 4 PREZ;1680028 wrote:No ones been arrested. But Profiling is a problem. I take it you didn't re-read your question. -

It doesn't affect most people, because most aren't breaking the law(with the exception of minor traffic violations). Police have to deal with people who do break the law, many of whom are armed. When you are compliant with their requests you help them do their job, without the fear of being shot. ...in either direction.I think most people don't bc it never affects them. And I know in not going to change anyones mind.
We need a dose of reality here, and black leadership needs to get out and tell its people that Michael Brown was not shot because he was black, but because he was non compliant and aggressive. Now if they want to question whether race had something to do with it also, that's fine. But it is a disservice to make him a hero and even more of a disservice to imply that his behavior was acceptable. -

I think you've got this very, very backwards.ZWICK 4 PREZ;1680021 wrote:blind compliance doesn't help police serve us better. Blind compliance shifts more power to them and away from us. ...
No one has said to comply blindly. That's an exaggeration for effect on your part. I have suggested that people need to comply, and respect the law. They go hand in hand.
If people do not comply and respect the law it puts more options, more authoritative actions and more power at the officer's disposal...not less. A simple review of Michael Brown's actions and the officer's response is one such example. -

Con_AlmaLaws do apply to them and I am all for those laws being enforced.
Them being more part of the community is nice and reasonable goal but it's not required and has nothing to do with people respecting nd following the laws. -
