That's not to say these riots are justified or excused in any way. Just that rioting isn't merely a black people problem.
In all fairness though, that disco one was justified!

The Twitter is just a swirling cesspool of derp today. It makes me want to emigrate somewhere.

No one is saying that white people can't do stupid things, but the majority of white people will not condone their actions. A large amount of black people and black leaders are supporting what is going in Missouri.

No...it's pretty much a single direction. 80% of these retards are still humping the "hands up he was surrendering" meme.

Fox News....off-the-record, I think after being embarassed about last night, off-the-record Ferguson police are saying "we're going to bring it tonight"

I didn't mean that. I meant that there's a difference between "not going to trial was the correct decision and the officer acted in accordance with procedure and law" and saying that the whole thing including the riots, etc are somehow due to black people being inferior.

The people thinking that the cop was somehow the embodiment of evil racists foaming at the mouth to kill black people are ridiculous as well.

That's what I meant by both sides. There's lots of racist bullshit being said right now (coming from both directions as well) and it's all fucking stupid.

Might have been a tad bit upset if there wasn't even a trial. Though it's not easy to compare shit when there wasn't quite the 24/7 media circlejerk that there is now. Combine the stupidity of all that with the officials in the area seemingly attempting to set the table perfectly for discontent (seriously, the invasion of Fallujah type gear couldn't have calmed things down and announcing at 9PM like it was some kind of primetime event was dumb).

Then you get the people who are complete douchebags and take advantage of the situation to do nothing but steal shit. I'm all about protesting even if this situation seems to have been decided correctly with the lack of evidence there are some real issues when it comes to policing in the US. Not a single one of those issues will be solved or mitigated by looting a fucking Walgreens or any other store or throwing a rock at a cop.

TL;DR: Everyone seems to have handled this really terribly (except for the officer in question because we don't really have any evidence that he did anything incorrectly). The people who did so the worst are the ones who decided to be violent criminals while pretending to be against what they call a violent crime.

LMAO...they were waiting for businesses to close and families to get home because they knew dumbasses were going to be pissed.

Other than the rioters and the so-called black leaders, who has handled it terribly? There was no evidence to go to trial.

Also to be considered is that it let a lot of people who would otherwise have been at work or class be at a bar or out in the streets when the decision was made and that more violent gatherings always seem to happen at night.

But yeah I can see why you'd want kids and people to be home from work when you they made the announcement as well. They were probably fucked either way they went.

So you think these dumbasses had jobs or were in school?

The media primarily but also area officials. There were times during this whole thing when they appeared to almost want people to become violent or for the protests to get more rowdy (other times than last night as well). During the day when people aren't being violent it doesn't calm the atmosphere to be pointing rifles at citizens.

I'd be surprised if a lot of them didn't. Ferguson has a 16% unemployment rate among black people.

Dumbass protesters just jumped in the middle of 75 north by downtown Cincinnati and shut it down for a little while. Fucking idiots.

That seems like a decidedly bad idea. And a really bad way to get people to sympathize with a cause.

Up here, started on the Shoreway in Cleveland and moved to downtown. Had traffic gridlocked. Wouldn't even let bicyclists through with the "the only way you're getting through is to join the march" shit.
