We'll use this one to satisfy your need for me to answer your question. Being in the image isn't the same as actually being...which is why it is in image only.
As far as Christ is concerned, we aren't Him.....far form it. -

You tell me. Based on the multiple questions posed each time the subject comes up it appears there's much that is not understood.sleeper;1603999 wrote:Cop out. We have the bible which was written by human's; what's so hard to understand? -

Besides, I am not exactly at zero anyway. We may not be able to deductively 'prove' God's existence(and please understand that 'God' is an anthropromorphic term)...but we can induce such. Science uses this all the time.(see physics and subatomic particles).Multiple religions arising independently from different areas, many of which contain similar 'stories', the same precepts and values, spirituality... suggest some sort of existence beyond what we can know here. They speak of timelessness, perfection, power long before we observed them in the universe. These and other things help us induce that there is an intelligence in the universe, and that in some way we are connected to it.
LOL...read your Stephen Hawking's quote ...you are your biggest enemy :RpS_w00t: -

For those who have these plethora of questions, I'm guessing not. You'll have to ask them.sleeper;1604036 wrote:Yet enough to dedicated your whole life to following? -

???...you are the one who made the assertion. I was just asking you if you had proof.I have faith that time ends. Please prove me wrong
Almost all religions talk of an end of time...and now even scientists believe that...although they can't prove it....deductively. It appears that sometimes you just have to have ....faith. -
sleeper
I do not have any proof, no. I do like how you take an off the cuff remark attached to an assertions and then try to use that as some sort of signal of inconsistency in my logic. You on the other hand have dedicated your whole life to a fraudulent unproven belief system but need proof of an end of time from a random internet user. I can see how they are different; LOL. Tell me more please.HitsRus;1604049 wrote:???...you are the one who made the assertion. I was just asking you if you had proof.

HitsRuslol. ...attempts at distraction and attempts to get me off track do little to aid your case. We both believe that time will end, and we both take that on 'faith'. Sometimes you have to take things on faith because, as human beings, we do not have the knowledge or the capabilities of complete understanding.
As for your logic, this thread is full of you taking specifics and drawing generalizations...this all without my help. -
sleeper
Again, my logic is solid and irrefutable. The only 'taking specifics and drawing generalizations' that is happening here is the refusal of the religious morons to state their religions is entirely made up and without proof.HitsRus;1604082 wrote:lol. ...attempts at distraction and attempts to get me off track do little to aid your case. When are you going to grow up? Come on man. -

Thought this letter was fun for the discussion. Apparently this is the world believers endorse; a world in which you need no logic or evidence for something be to real; just faith. When will believers grow up? -
sleeperThe Pastafarian movement in general is absolutely the coolest thing I've ever seen an atheist try to do to defeat religion. It's definitely one of the best tools to the elimination of special protections granted to religious followers. It's also amazing in the sense that despite being tongue in cheek made up(though admitted by no one in the church), it still has the same amount of evidence as every religion in history. LOL

I am "grown up", but I could ask you the same thing. Why are you up people's ass about this? At BEST, all you have shown is inconsistencies in a strict literal interpretation of the bible. From this, you cannot conclude that 'God' does not exist. Nor can you conclude that ALL religions are erroneous.....and even if some parts of any or all religions are erroneous it doesn't follow that there is no creator. You are more than welcome to argue with those who insist that the only way to 'God' is their religion. Have fun, for you are birds of a feather. When are you going to grow up? Come on man. -

Are we really back to this 'you can't prove god does not exist' crap? Your arguments are hilarious and have been refuted rather easily multiple times in this thread alone.HitsRus;1604116 wrote:I am "grown up", but I could ask you the same thing. and the only reason you consider it 'crap' is because it's true and you cannot refute it.Are we really back to this 'you can't prove god does not exist' crap?
You cannot use science and logic to disprove 'God' ...never...not until the end of time which we both believe on faith. -
sleeper
I think you can read for yourself. Do I really need to re-hash your arguments again? They are nothing new and have been used I'm sure for centuries to justify erroneous beliefs. I will take the first line about "literal interpretations of the bible" and quickly shred the entire broken logic with this statement. #1) No one knows what is a metaphorical or literal interpretations of the bible. It's a convenient loophole and is entirely disingenuous to any reasonable research when any party can simple state "Well that isn't a real story, just a metaphor" when shown evidence to the contrary. For example, this "global flood" is now referred to as a metaphor since there has been nor ever will be any evidence of a great flood. The story itself is absolutely absurd along with just about any story in the bible yet believers can hide behind their veil or "METAPHORICAL". Was Jesus' birth a metaphor? Is the entire book made up? Given that NO story in the bible has ever been proven to be real(and when I stay story I don't mean the birth of Jesus, but particularly stuff like the 'virgin birth' of Jesus or all his alleged 'miracles'). The reality is religions at the time were used to garner money and influence from the poor and stupid and somehow thousands of years later people are still being hoodwinked into that trap. That's why Scientology, which believers of conventional religions hate to admit has the exact same evidence as them for their belief, came along and started utilizing the same model for profit.HitsRus;1604124 wrote:Show me.
Like I said, when are you going to grow up and accept your religion is entirely made up? It's liberating to finally release the chains of ignorance with rationality and logic; when is that going to happen for you? -
sleeper
How convenient. God just has his own special rules and just exists because I said so. LOLand the only reason you consider it 'crap' is because it's true and you cannot refute it.

sleeperAgain that logic has been absolutely ruined so much its not even worth typing out again. I mean come on, grow up.
-
sleeperI think a good exercise for my delusional believers is ask yourself "Why don't I believe in Islam(or religion you do not believe in)?". Once you start writing down why you don't believe you'll quickly realize just about everything you wrote down is exactly the same thing that justifies your erroneous belief. Try it! Or is that against the rules of your religion(again, convenient lol).

LOL...has nothing to do with 'God'...it has everything to do with logic that you claim is on your side. How convenient. God just has his own special rules and just exists because I said so. LOL
1)They are organizations and of course organizations require money to operate....2) they are run by men which can be corrupted. None of which disproves God nor proves ALL religions to be this way. This is just an example where you take specific incidents and then make a generalization that does not logically follow. The reality is religions at the time were used to garner money
Moreover, in general if you are implying that ALL religions are just in it for the money, you ignore the countless community outreach programs by multiple christian churches in this country alone, the billions of dollars in aid to poverty stricken areas in the world by Catholic Charities...gosh...I could just go on and on. Money????logic???.../fail.
Well, ..Of course it's a metaphor.. It's not a matter of 'convieience,' ...scripture is probably a communication meant to convey a message to beings at the beginnings of sentience.(we are not that far removed actually). Do you have a problem with the message? ..Love your neighbor...charity...forgiveness...thou shalt not kill? I imagine the part of about not coveting your neighbor's wife might cramp your style a bit ..but that's certainly not a good enough reason to hate religion in all of its forms and manifestations.. It's a convenient loophole and is entirely disingenuous to any reasonable research when any party can simple state "Well that isn't a real story, just a metaphor"
Hey...have a nice weekend...I hope I haven't ruined your day. -

You are just so juvenile. My religion is my way to find my spirituality, my connection to God and the universe. It's not Jmog's, it's not cruiser's, it's not anybody else's but my choice. I hope everyone finds a spiritual peace regardless of their religion or non religion.Try it! Or is that against the rules of your religion(again, convenient lol).
Sorry, I'm outta here for at least the evening....it's been fun. -
